Jay Cutler

Cutler retired because nobody wanted a former "franchise QB". He can say what he wants but the market wasn't there for him after he ran the Bears into the ground.
I just assumed he bowed out. Didn't know that no one wanted him. Either way...

I have never in my life seen anyone who willingly throws backing up every time they throw a pass. I mean this guy does it even when there is zero pressure. We should have just rolled with Matt Moore and got the better draft choice and saved 10 million ,because Josh Mccown is better than this bum.
this was typical Jay Cutler play!everyone wanted this now they got it

Not to nit-pick but Moore didn't throw any picks in the Pitt game did he? Fumbled twice.
yeah but people still blamed it on him even though he got sacked both times, amazing how they could use those two fumbles to throw him under the bus so quickly even though he had played great up until that point, if people don't like somebody they'll use any excuse to try to keep him down. Who cares if he throws ducks sometimes, he was rusty for sure when he came in and all he did was get us to the playoffs and play good up until those two unfortunate plays, and he was cheap! Ugh...

Jay Cutler is not the main problem. This team is flawed all over including many starters on defense that shouldn't be starting like Howard, Maxwell, Hull, Bobby McCain in the slot, Actually anyone on defense not named Suh or Jones and even Jones has been really shaky recently.

we've previously established ourselves as a "power running team" and from the stats we did ZERO in that dept.

If that's our wine and cheese, and it gets taken away ----------- we're in trouble.

The worst thing we can do this year is be @500 and lose out on the best QB draft in maybe 30+ years!

But that's been the dolphin way...

You should put this quote in bold

Thing is some people think it’s ok to blame the OLine when it’s a certain player behind Center but not ok to blame it when another is behind it. We all knew this Oline was a hot mess before the season even started. And I’m not a fan of either QB. I blame most of the problems today on that line, they didn’t help the QB and they didn’t help the RB.

Go sign Kap for league minimum. He at least has the heart for the game

How does that fit with last week's performance by both Cutler and the running game?

Last place he'll ever come. Personally i couldn't care less if a player drew a pentagram, tried to summon the devil while sacrificing a chicken before a game as long as he won us games. However we aren't gonna sign someone wearing a pro Castro shirt in the middle of the biggest US Cuban population

I was thinking the exact opposite. Cutler actually got better oline play today than tanny almost ever got. If that was tanny out there today, certain people would of given him all the blame and say coaching and oline was an excuse

I don't think Moore is the answer but I respect the heck out of him. He got us to the playoffs w a 3-1 (or 2-1 and a comeback save) in the regular season. In that Pitt game he hit 14 or 15 in a row - and somewhere along the way he got decapitated. I've never seen a QB take a cheap shot like that and only miss one play. Here's the thing I wonder from the players' POV - Moore got them to the playoffs, took that shot and got up, has been the consummate pro, is a popular teammate, etc. Tannehill goes down and you go get Jay Cutler out of retirement. Perhaps he's better than Moore - it's not the point. Point is what kind of message does that send to guys working their tails off for playing time and doing all of the right things. We weren't going to contend w Cutler. May have been the right thing to do for the long term of the team and it's psyche. Loss today was not all on Jay - I'm simply posing the question if you weren't going to be competitive anyway, why not let the guy who's been doing everything you ask play? Again, no, I don't think we go we do any better when all is said and done - and probably no worse. But we would have kept another $10mil to sign Jarvis etc.
