Why in God's name, with the talent that Nick gets...kicker is ALWAYS a problem...
Perhaps Nick should sleep over at the kicker's house.

Go Blue!!

Probably wouldn't have been dominated so bad if they had just kept quiet and let Bama sleepwalk into that game like they did against Colorado St. and Fresno St.

But when they started running their mouth, it got Bama's attention. Bad idea.

I literally started feeling sorry for Vandy. I've seen teams get beat that bad on the scoreboard, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a team get beat that bad on the field physically and mentally. When your 4th stringers have to take 3 knees at the goaline to keep from making it 66-0, it's bad.

The 599 yardage differential was the biggest in school history, surpassing the
previous best of 544 yards in the 77-6 blowout of Virginia Tech in '73.

It's just never a good idea to run your mouth before you play Bama. Florida St. found that out opening day after their president commented that they would beat Alabama pretty bad. Kinda like when all the Miami players were running their mouth back in '92 before they got blown out of the Superdome.

If it's Alabama, don't do it. Don't get their attention. It's not going to work out for you.

Hey Ted...as much as I like Jalen,...Tua is going to be hard to keep on the bench.....Throwing the rock.he just looks miles ahead of Jalen in natural ability.

Tua is more of a natural passer. He processes information and reads defenses a lot faster than Jalen. That won't ever change. It just is what it is.

The coaching staff knows exactly what you just said, and they know they have a backup now if Jalen were to get injured. That's why Jalen is running more this year.

He got the green light to go ahead and take off if his first read isn't open. No sense in trying to make him stand back there and go through progressions while the offense goes 3 and out. He just doesn't operate in that aspect fast enough.

Just let him take off and use his natural athletic talent...you'll punt less and score more. If he gets hurt running, they have Tua. It's exactly how I would handle it too.

As much as I hate to say it I don't see anybody stopping Nick Satan and alabama this year. An early gratz on a national championship from a Vol fan.

The only thing that could come close to making me as happy as Bama winning the title is Tennessee keeping Botch around for the rest of my life. Make it happen rocky top.

Looking at your schedule Virginia Tech would have beaten any team on it except maybe Auburn which will probably be your first loss

Virginia Tech hasn't beat anybody in the SEC except Arkansas in almost a decade :roflmao

It took an epic meltdown by Bielema in the 2nd half for that to happen.

Bama dominated a healthy FSU. Miami barely beat a depleted FSU.

I don't think VT could even beat Miss. St. or LSU, much less Auburn.

Hot seat Gus outcoaches Saban. Figures.

Congrats to Auburn. Them boys are for real. Still can't figure out how they managed to lose that game to LSU when they were up 20-0.

Oh well, a good Auburn team is Saban's kryptonite. We're just lucky they didn't beat us worse than they did. Couldn't tackle. Couldn't catch. Couldn't block. Couldn't pass.

Saban and ALL the coaches deserve every bit of criticism that's coming their way. And believe me....it's coming. That performance ain't going over well 'round here. RTR.

Based on Saban's history and the impression of him I got from the book on him a few years back, I think he's about ready to jump to the next challenge. What more can he prove at Bama? He's built a dynasty. He doesn't have the same motivation and fire he did a few ears ago. Idon't know if he'll retire or jump to another struggling old money team and turn it around, but IMO he isnt long for Bama. Not that they are struggling bow or anything. He's still got a good thing going so maybe I'm talking out my ass.

Either way, I'm sure you guys are gonna remember the saban years fondly.

I could see Saban going to the Giants actually. They have the pedigree and ownership. They have some elite players. Have an old super bowl winning QB, but also a high enough pick to draft a young franchise QB. You know he wants to regain his status in the NFL after the Miami debacle. Giants give him the best shot at doing that.
