Dolphins are game-planning as if DeVante Parker is not playing vs Jets.

I've had every grade ankle sprain. Grade 1, grade 2 and grade 3. Grade 1 four times. Grade 2 twice. Grade 3 once. Ankle sprains heal 100 % as long as you don't roll them again in a short period after the sprain. I'm sure he didn't have a grade 3 which is a basketball player sprain. 3 being the worse he'd be out 6-8 weeks up to 12. So assuming he had a number 2 he may be out 1 more week and play thursday night at baltimore..If he had a grade 1 he'll play sunday.

I've had podiatric surgeon's testify that ankles never heal to 100%.

You will still have alot of instability in the soft tissue once it has been damaged.

Edit: BTW, I'm not saying you (or he) can't walk on it, or even play on it. But what happens is the ankle becomes more susceptible to future injury.

Let's see how the season plays out.

I got on his case last year for nursing the hammy.

Sometimes it is just bad luck. Parker tried to do more with the ball than he usually does. (He isnt a shifty east-west guy like Landry)

Cutler developed some chemistry with him in preseason, and as ****ty as Cutler has been playing, if things turn around Parker should produce.

If he goes down again this year I'll probably consider writing him off, but for now I'm in his corner.

The bad thing about ankles is that they never really heal to 100%. Does anyone know if this is the same foot he injured in college?
Have to disagree. There is no sure bet in life. You cannot have the best of both worlds. Trade him now while he still have value. If he blow up with the other team and never have injury again, we lose the bet. But if you wait until he lose a leg then try to trade him, no one will give you anything. So if we trade him now, gets a high pick, and he keep getting injury with other team, we win the bet.
The question is, which side would you bet on?
I rather go with trading him now.

I like Parker a lot but these injuries are an issue. Sad thing is in three years we may only have Kenny Stills left from the Dolphins top three receivers. I've been waiting since the days of Mark Duper, Mark Clayton, Duriel Harris and Nat Moore to have a decent receiving corp...we finally get it and looks like it won't be together for very long.

DeVante Parker (ankle) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.

He's looking very doubtful for Sunday against the Jets after failing to practice for the sixth-straight time following his Week 5 injury in the first quarter. With Parker likely out, Jarvis Landry should again gobble up targets.

Ozzy rules!!

what decision? 5th year option? uhhh pick it up

that's not much of a decision....

mean more on do you plan on signing him longterm....we have a lot of time before we have to worry about it, but if i had to guess his injury bug isn't going away

Short week next week no field work may not go then either
This league has really screwed us over on the schedule something royal. I guess I shouldn't be surprised given the amount of pull Kraft has but it seems whenever it looks like the Dolphins are turning the corner the league gives us a freakin awful schedule. Traveling to California, then to New York, then to London...back-to-back-to-back...you'd think they'd at least let us play at home for the Thursday night game...nah...lets screw the Dolphins over as much as possible...would that be OK with you Mr. Kraft? Why yes, yes it would.

The dolphins are already always royally screwed having to be the only team to be in a division with all other teams far away and completely different climates. And then it seems like we do get shorted on scheduling stuff quite often. I'm used to it at this point.

It always feels like we get a ton of division games towards the end of the schedule, as well.

As far as the London games:
  • There is a weird correlation with playing London games and getting a Super Bowl in Miami.
  • Now that we bent over backwards, took a London game every time it was offered, and renovated the stadium, we got our super bowl.
  • Since we got our super bowl game in Miami, do we still have to let the NFL dictate what we do, for the London games?
I hope we won't keep up the London BS now. This entire post is based on the idea of teams refusing to go to London such as the Pats

feels like we need to gameplan every game with the potential of not having him.....

I'm actually very surprised we gameplan on offense. This offense is too predictable with the worst 3rd down percentage in the league.
