Gase press conference 11/20

For beginners, something else. 'We have a few things to clean up' is getting old. No, no public hangings, no embarrassment of players, but evidence he's more than just talk. And I'm a Gase fan
So, he can’t talk in coach speak, can’t take the blame himself, can’t place any blame on players, what can he do? You say “something else” but then offer nothing

Sure he could’ve propped up Matt Moore but really. What is the perfect press conference for him?

Some people must just want him to say i suck and i quit

(Not saying that’s you G wilson, just sayin how nothing is good enough here)

It's important for MIami to finish strong. I don't necessarily mean winning game, but being competitive, not making mistakes and showing improvement.

I keep reminding myself that the Dolphins are without their starting quarterback and playing with perhaps the worst offensive line in football. Those are both issues that can be resolved next year.

I want to see the effort and the team fighting to win games. We saw some of that yesterday in the second half. There was some good football there.

Ummm "evidence he's more than just talk." I can train a 3yo to say 'things to clean up.' My point is I get coach speak, but that, by itself, is just wind. Time for coach-speak with follow through

game can eat a bag of dicks, all of his retreads are blowing nuts this year and he's too stubborn to change, I really want an experienced coach next time, true he gets a pass with Thill out this year but he's lost me as this guru coach

I'd like to know how many those in the Gase pitchfork clan, predicted a .500 or better season after Tannehill, Mcmillan and Larsen went down and after the Cutler signing? Probably very, very few. Is it really that shocking that this team is 4-6 right now?
Losing Tanny and RM hurts a lot but I was not expecting much out of Larsen. He's a career back up and it was a horrible idea to think that replacing Albert with Larsen would fix the O-line. I don't know who made that decision but whoever did should not have a job with the Dolphins

Ozzy rules!!

**** actually trying to win, we all
know there's no chance. I'd settle for someone physically accosting Belichick on the sidelines and pummeling him until he can no longer be pummeled. See how that rat **** likes that.

So "something else" but no idea what? Makes sense...

People are pissed, I get it. We have been playing like dog ****. This nitpicking of press conferences is straight dumb.

Coaches have to be available to the media, and he knows that the press, and fans, are waiting to jump on anything he says, so he keeps it coach speak. Even if he was gonna bench Cutler, he's not gonna tell us, or our next opponent on Monday.

The people that want him gone were gonna be pissed no matter what he said.

"I'm benching Cutler"... Should have done it sooner/never signed him.

"Players suck"... You built this team

"Refs jobbed us"... Don't whine about penalties

Etc, etc...

It's a pointless exercise

That sucks. Anthony looked at least fast out there and I wanted to see what he could do. I hope is not that bad.
As far as the PC he said "if we can get the RB's clean into the second level we could have some nice gain" but the problem is our RB's can barely make it back to the LOS because there's just no blocking there so that tells you that Ajayi was not the problem as far as the run game. Williams and Drake have been good in the passing game but as far as running it we've been getting like one good run a game and a bunch of negative runs

Ozzy rules!!

As I have said a few times already, the problem is not that we lose but how. I wouldn’t have a problem with losing if we played disciplined fundamentally football in all phases. Because over time this is the only way to sustainable success. This team did not play like that last year and they haven’t played like that this year. If it’s one or two players you could argue that it’s the players, but it’s the entire team and this is on the coaching staff.

I don't get the big deal about saying 17 penalties is correctable. That's obvious and was a statement that didn't need to even be made. If it wasn't correctable that would mean no matter what the team does going forward they're going to get 17 or more penalties per game. Of course it's correctable... the question is will it be corrected?

McMillan has never played a down in the league. Calling him a loss is just making excuses. So you guys think with he and Tannehill everything is fixed?

BS. Burke is running the same crap D that Joseph ran. If you haven't noticed that D has made the Broncos D look, bad or as Elway put it, soft. We don't exploit anyone's weaknesses. The raiders secondary sucks. We should have attacked it yet we went dink and dunk. Alonso gets abused week in and week out in coverage. Maybe we should change things up. Not a chance. Same soft zone we always play.

You realize we made Fitzpatrick, Newton, Flacco, and McCown look like HOFers. In case you didn't know Newton and Flacco have been horrible this year. Well, until they played us.

So what can he say at his presser? The coaches have to do a better job of preparing our players. We have to do a better job of game planning and attacking the opponents weakness. We have to do a better job of creating opportunities for our play makers. NOT it can be cleaned up. They have to execute better. That right their is blaming the players. Adam Philbin thinks his system is the be all end all and it is not on him.

This guy is in over his head. If Harbaugh is interested in a return to the NFL Ross would be a fool not to offer him the keys to the franchise.
