2 years under Philbin doesn't count as being coached correctly to reach potential. Gase and Foerster changed up the line's technique last year to a non-traditional, aggressive style in pass protection in dish sets where lineman eliminate the space b/w them and a defender instead of giving ground in vertical sets. Given that James and others have only been practicing this unconventional technique for a year, you can then see where the staff is coming from in saying their is still room to grow.

Gotta say I wasn't nearly as impressed with Burke's PC. He wants to streamline everything and apparently views the "Wide 9" as a defense . . . :unsure:
