Amendola to sign with Dolphins

If Wilson's numbers are $12 million guaranteed then it's only $4 million a year not 8.

Fine we can go with your numbers but then aren’t you implying he won’t see the full contract? Sounds even worse to me now.

And I don't know why people are even mentioning Parker. This has nothing to do with him. Do people really think we're going to go with four small receivers? This speaks more to Carroo and everyone's favorite -- Grant. Grant is just a gadget player. He's not a guy you want on the field in 3/4 WR sets consistently.

Our depth chart should read:

1. Parker
2. Stills
3. Wilson
4. Amendola
5. Grant
6. Carroo and everyone else

As you were!

I must have missed the part of the TOS which said mods must apporve of signing Danny Amendola.

If you have issues with moderators in future please raise it formally rather than on the public forum.

And I thought we weren't right there with Cleveland...Yep neck n neck.

Has any 1 player from NE's offense went elsewhere and been productive?

Terrible offseason 1 for the record books atm.

$6M per year for a guy who made $1.7M last year & $21M over 11 years in the league....average of 1.9M per year. Does Mike think this is Monopoly money? He is a joke.

NE only signed him to $31M over 5 years when he was 27 years old.

I realize inflation but evidently Mike does not realize history....

Sep 7, 2017 NFL Head Cranial Concussion Grade 1 Amendola left in the 4th quarter of the season opener with a concussion. He was also listed with a knee issue on the Week 2 injury report but didn't miss another game after clearing the concussion protocol -- despite continued listing for the knee.

Aug 16, 2013 NFL Inguinal Groin Strain Grade 2 Amendola sat out the final 2 preseason games with an unspecified groin injury. He aggravated the injury upon his return in the regular-season opener.
Nov 25, 2012 NFL Pedal Heel Bruise Amendola played through a "doubtful" tag but lasted just 7 snaps and sat out the 2nd half with "soreness." He missed the following 2 games as well.

Nov 1, 2009 NFL Head Cranial Concussion Grade 1 Amendola suffered a concussion against the Lions. He didn't miss any games but likely benefited from the bye following his injury game.

The Dolphins suddenly have all of this money to sign free agents when yesterday they couldn't even sign their own draft picks? Curious. Didn't want to pay Landry though.........Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

They pretty obviously didn't want Landry back.

They tried to shop him twice, and apparently after the big fight he had that got him and Drake ejected, they realized he hadn't really grown up at all.

once we elected to trade landry he should have been replaced with caroo or a late round draft pick. this money could have been spent on norwell. why do we trade good players only to splurge on FA replacements. you can have all the WRs you want but if you don't have time to throw the ball it really doesn't matter.

and spare me the "smart" football player bs. no one was questioning the culture and football IQ after 2016. Winning creates culture. Bringing in Jay Cutler and Julus Thomas absolutely killed our offense last year and now gase wants to blame smarts and culture? Nothing more than a Philbin like excuse.

This is great. One FA disaster closer to a full regime change.

The 2 guys we just got to replace landry were undrafted FAs. We should have gone that route to to replace him. I think Tannenbaum is a few sandwiches shy of a picnic.

The Dolphins sent a offer to Landry. He felt he was worth more so they traded him away. Believe there were rumors leaked they had been trying to trade him away for over a year now. So there had to have been a falling out between him and the FO.

Yes, let's be the ones to make Norwell the highest paid interior lineman in NFL history. Because those are the types of signings that have worked well for us in the past.

You make a signing like that when you are one piece -- that piece -- away. Not when you're clearly in contention for the top overall draft choice next year.
