Braxton Berrios has been learning a lot from WR coach Wes Welker

Welker was a special player and we were a very predictable specially challenged franchise for letting him leave.

Hall of famer imo

Berrios has some hi level skill so welker will get the best out of him, I expect Berrios to have his best year and come in third in catches

meh, the Patriots were about to put a poison pill in the contract offer. we got a 7th rounder on top of the 2nd rounder by trading him.

The Fins could have taken care of him before it got to the poison pill situation, but to be fair he never would have done in Miami what he did in NE.

Brady was a bit of an upgrade for him.

the poison pill is just an excuse for a bad evalutaion/projection.

and great players are great players.

Didn't let him leave, poison pill.

No it's not, a 2nd round tender on Welker at the time was sensible.

A chance to match the contract and then deciding against that would have been "letting him leave".

Was never given that chance...

How was Welker's stats as a wide receiver with us? thanks
Only someone who doesn’t know what their doing would base welkers projection at that age and circumstances on stats.

It was a huge organizational
Mistake.

It doesn’t matter what was sensible at the time, a sensible offer for a soon to be great player is irrelevant, they did not have the foresight to outright sign the player period and the player proved that a 2nd round offer was a joke for what he soon would be worth.

So playing with Brady did not elevate him higher than the collection of not Hall Of Fame QB's he would have played with in Miami?

Wes welker was a great player, possible hall of famer..

Production can change relative to offense and Qb, but greatness is detectable and projectable according to the persons talent in isolation.
