Broward commissioners oppose Dolphins stadium deal

You guys are such homers. Yes, it is one of the worse stadiums in the league, and yes, it's in a very bad location in Miami next to Carol City. But note that Joe Robbie owned soccer teams before, the stadium wasn't meant for just the Dolphins, which is why the seats are far apart from the field.

the orange bowl wasnt the best area either. if you take the right routes you can avoid the bad neighborhoods surrounding sun life. ive been going to sun life since it opened and ive never had a problem with the area. and ive been at it pretty late at night following some monday night games. theres some "fine establishments" located nearby.just about every stadium is in a poor area due to the low cost of the property.

i dont blame the county for not wanting to contribute to that proposed eyesore , they are planning on adding on. its just downright hideous.

I got news for you, you cannot place a stadium in a location that isn't under 5 minutes from the hood in Miami . . . there is hood everywhere. Hell Jackson Memorial is like a corporate medical city . . . less than 5 minues away you got some of the most gutter hoods in the city. That is South Florida, and if you visit other stadiums, you will notice the hood is always near by. But once you get inside the stadium it is as safe as they come.

You are correct about the stadium though, he had big plans for Joe Robbie stadium that extended past Dolphins football.
