Bucs release Davin Joseph

If he passes the physical, sign him up. He is a great player when healthy. This is just like Grimes last year...sometimes you have to take that chance.

Joseph did not have a single good game last year. His rank compared to Columbo. Who were you watching?

I know how he ranked last year, but he did make the Pro Bowl in 2011. But if we do bring him in and his knee checks out as good to go, then i see no reason to not give him a 1 year prove it/show us what you have deal like we did with Grimes. Who knows...maybe he regains his Pro Bowl form. I'm just saying it can't hurt to try.

I'm with those saying he's worth a shot with a "prove yourself" contract. We can't fill all 4 holes on the o-line with out 1st rd pick and big name free agents. Draft a top line o-line player, sign two top line FA, and bring a vet like this in with something to prove and you have him fight it out with Brenner, Garner, and Thomas for one of the guard spots.

He was bad last season recovering from a bad knee and staph infection. He had a big-time game against the Dolphins though.

Davin Joseph was real good a few years back......Im not going to pretend like I've been keeping up with the Bucs, or any other team in the league for that matter. What I will say though, is it would greatly benefit Miami to get someone who can perhaps AT LEAST challenge the 'would-be' guys we bring in for the interior line to see if they can push one another.

Unfortunately, I have an eerie feeling Joseph would be no. 2 behind Pouncey if he were on the team today, even with his recent struggles!

I heard from a Bucs fan that he struggled early in the season, but he got into a groove and really started to improve towards the end of the season. With a full offseason to train and recover from his 2012 injury, I'd be on board to sign him.

John Jerry was better than Joseph last year. Joseph wasn't just bad, he was horrible. He was rated the 2nd worst G in the league. His game is all about power and he seems to have lost it since his injury

Sometimes it takes more than a year for the injury to heal and the player to get confident with the repair. Last year was terrible for TB and Joseph had a bad year as well.
His stock cannot be any lower short of being out of the league. He is worth a minimum contract with incentives and escalators to find out if he can still play.
He made the pro bowl and was considered a very good player prior to the injury.
Hickey knows him and his work ethic. If we reach out to him now, I think we get a good player at a bargain price. I am on board with that.
This oline is in shambles. We have to bring in some questionable guys as well as the high priced FA's.
If he plays solid, it buys us another year to upgrade.

#Dolphins Writer @OmarKelly says the team could likely get guys like Davin Joseph on a hometown discount

Omar is totally unconnected to what is happening. He has as much insight as a random fan.

how sad is it that virtually any castoff OL would be an immediate upgrade?
