Bush To The Left, and To The Left

running game can not win you much in nfl nowaday. You need passing to win, running can be supplement only.

running game is a moot point.

legs can not help you run much nowaday. You need feet to run, legs can be supplement only.

legs is a moot point.

They get the hate because they suck at pass blocking. Long especially should be good at both. Long just like Dansby want/getting paid elite money, but aren't producing like elite players.

I can't imagine anyone watching Dolphin games, and saying this. It's just silly.

Over the last 3 years, Long has been in pass protection 1614 times. He has given up total pressure in 63. Total meaning sacks, hits, and hurries on the QB. This is #2 of all OT's in the NFL, with Joe Thomas at #1.

In the past 3 years, Cog has been in pass protect 1396 times, giving up 43 total pressures. This is #8 of all OG's in the NFL.

How do Phans come up with these opinions?

Nice, but... source?

I made it up. LOL Seriously, Pro Football Focus, who grades players for a living, and has been referenced by just about every media there is.

Mark Columbo was the 7th worst with 128 pressures in 1416 pass protects. We already knew that.

I thought it was worse. Last year, Columbo was ranked # 67 of 76 OT's. However, in 2010, before we signed him, he was #76 of 78 OT's ranked.

To make another point for PFF's rankings, last year Naanee was dead last of all WR's playing 25% of a team's snaps.

Anyone want to chip in to buy a subscription to this service for the Dolphins at $30.00?

And this season Long's base salary is

Long $11,250,000

The whole New England Patriot offensive line(starters and backups)

Wendell $750,000
Connolly $1,250,000
Solder $616,000
Mankins $2,750,000
Vollmer $650,000
Thomas $615,000
Aiken $465,000
McDonald $540,000
Dennis $390,000
Cannon $481,000

total $8,507,000 for 10 offensive lineman or $11,250,000 for 1 offensive lineman

and you still have almost 3 million left

OUR TEAM OFFENSIVE LINE PLAYERS BASE SALARY IS $22,487,895

$22,487,895 VERSUS $8,507,000 FOR NEW ENGLAND
anyone see a problem here

OMG no wonder we don't have as much quality depth.

columbo was 7th in total pressures but 5th worst in pass blocking effeciency (PBE). So I guess last year was an improvement if he was 2nd worst before he came here?

No argument here. I disputed the quality of his play, NOT his contract.
