Clearing the Air on the 2nd pick and Potential Trades

Its still too early to speculate on anything as much as we all want things to heat up so we have topics for conversation. The closer we get to the draft the more the picture will be clearer regarding available free agents and how the draft prospects look.
Walter Jones is a good example, some teams may have been targeting him for free agent signing and now he is no longer avalable. Now the seahawks are working on signing Matt Hasselbeck and if they do, Tagging Shaun Alexander as their Franchise Player. If this does happen then that is three of the Free Agents no longer available. The list of free agents will slim down even more the closer we get to the draft and as time goes by teams will be looking more and more toward the draft to address their needs. The more teams with needs not addressed in free agency the chances increase that Miami's #2 Pick could look more and more attractive to these teams to address their needs with specific players in the draft.
Of course no one knows Saban's thoughts he may already have his mind made up on a specific player he wants with that #2 pick.

Wait until after the combine before stating that the second pick isn't all that attractive. One of the QB's may blow up, or somebody like Williams or Edwards. That's the job of the combine, to create overly hyped players, this year will be no exception. Somebody will just to have to have this guy or that guy. If we do stay at number two, I hope we get Williams.

Well, if we're going to wait to say anything about the attractiveness of the 2nd pick until after the combine - we ought to not say anything about the draft. It's all speculation at this point. But, I do hipe you're right about somebody shooting up the board.
