Did Barkley stay to avoid the Dolphins?

Barkley has a chance to be a legend at USC. His entire life he's wanted to be the QB at USC so it's not that surprising. He's living his dream. He's the early favorite for the #1 pick for next year's draft, he's now the 2012 Heisman favorite, & USC has to be one of the favorites for the national title next year. The only substantial players they lose are Matt Kalil, Nick Perry, DaJohn Harris, Marc Tyler, Rhett Ellison, & Chris Galippo. All but two of those are very easily replaceable. Disappointing for us, great for him, USC, & college football.

im guessing it had something to do with all the USC girls throwing themselves at his lower extremities every day of the week and knowing he is going to be paid next year...

You have to imagine that he knows that many projections had him going to Miami. Makes you wonder if he stayed rather than come here... hmmm.

Instead of pulling an Elway or Eli maybe he just decide another year at USC is better off than being with this franchise. Just food for thought.

if this is really food for thought its the equivalent of Cheetos or some really bad candy. C'mon, this is borderline stupid, it really is.

The Browns and Skins pick ahead of us, wouldn't you rather avoid them rather than Miami? The real reason he's staying is that he probably loves college and thinks USC can win a national title. To saying you are fishing is an insult to fishermen everywhere.

there's enough interesting REAL issues to discuss about this draft

I seriously doubt that Barkley's decision had anything to do with who might draft him. Barkley would have no way of knowing which order NFL teams are going to pick with two games left in the season....just look at Indianapolis winning last night and how this changed a lot of things. I think Barkley wants to play in the Rose Bowl and have one last year at USC. He will still get his money and be a first round pick next year, but he also risks dropping a little if he has a sub-par Senior year,....like Matt Leinart had in his final year.
