With two above average, good, but definitely not elite QB's going to the Super Bowl this year, does this dispell the saying that you need an elite QB to get to the Super Bowl?

Since 2000 there have been plenty of non elite QBs in the SB:

2000: Trent Dilfer & Kerry Collins
2001: Brady(wasn't elite yet)
2002: Brad Johnson
2003: Jake Delhomme
2005: Ben(wasn't elite yet) & Hasselbeck
2006: Rex Grossman
2007: Eli
2011: Eli
2012: Flacco & Kaepernick

I think getting to the superbowl means you are better then average. They are two up and comers

What a joke.

do elite QBs lead theire teams in mediocre division to missing 3 postseason in 4 years?

*You spin me right round, baby
right round like a record, baby
Right round round round

Flacco is elite.

Kapernick is in on a no call PI, and a pathetic "blow"to to the head penalty....

None of this matters because the guy has two rings.....

Don't be hating big brother because the little brother they share a room (stadium) with can't ever get over the hump

Flacco has been a winner in the post season since he was a rookie he is elite!

Maybe this Superbowl will help remind people that while this league is still tuned towards offensive production, DEFENSE is playing a major role in getting teams to championships....

49er's 2nd half shutout of Atlanta, and Ravens virtually shutting down Tom Brady and the "highest powered offense in the NFL".

Guys let's not go this route again. We already a thread in the Depths about Eli and his eliteness. Please don't make us move this thread.
