He has been injured the last 4 years, not hurt and out. HUGE difference. He plays hurts, like when he hurt his knee last year, his thumb the year before. He played out those games he got "hurt" in. That is toughness. Later, the hurt became an injury, and then he was done for a few games.

The one play I remember, I think against Oakland, he got knocked out cold....popped up, and then about fell over. Another player had to hold him up, and imediatly signalled for the trainers. I think he missed one play, we kicked a FG, and then he was back in with a killer headache. That is "toughness".

P.S. Feeley wins QB battle hands down! :D
 
Sean Salisbury is one of the biggest bandwagonig reporters for ESPN IMO. Also hvae either one of them been to one of TCs? I don't think they have but I could be wrong I think they are just going off what the reporters are reporting.
 
Unless Feeley really puts it into high gear in the next month or so, Fiedler will be the starter opening day. That's the real outlook here. Nothing will have changed, except that they lost their only real offensive weapon.
 
Fiedler is tough as in fairly gutsy on the field but not really durable. Even Cullpepper gets hurt so no QB is really injury proof. We sacrifice O-Line quality for stellar defensive personnel to stay within the cap. Thats no secret. Our QBs take a beating. Griese got popped a few times in Fiedler's stead. But Fiedler has been hurt every year and that has been costly.

ESPN is still reading camp reports from Saturday. They will flip flop at least two more times before the season starts. Gotta give the fans something to read.
 
IMO Jay is a real tough guy. He will run for the first. Block for his runner. He has gotten it done in the past. If A.J. is the starter. I'm gonna miss those QB keepers from Jay. I'm not a Jay fan by any means but he's tougher than nails. I also don't think Feeley will start but will come in when Jay gets hurt.

Im sorry your in denial but he even made Chambers look bad at times like the 12-0 loss to NE at seasons end.That Bruschi pick for a TD was all Jays fault,He underthrew CC and Law picked it.
Philly game were 1 td to tie and Jay throws way over his WR head into Dawkin hands to seal us sitting at home yet 1 more January!

funny you don't mention two key plays from those games: NE- 3rd down, down 3-0, fins in red zone, randy mac misses a block and gets jay killed, and there goes our scoring chance -and- PHI- the play before the int, CC drops a perfectly thrown slant that would have gone for a lot of yards. jay is not very accurate, and jay doesn't have too strong an arm, but he does nothing but spit nails and he can win ballgames.
 
Anybody who thinks Jay can take us to the SB, wasn't watching all the dolphins games last yaer. Maybe you just saw the games against the washington and dallas.

But I bet you won't miss those classic 2 INT performances he does so well, right? :D

Jay's gotten it done? By what measuring stick? And if the coaches really thought that why trade a second rounder for Feeley? Fiedler has been horrendous in the playoffs and inconsistent in the regular season.

True. Herrendous is an understatement for his performance in the playoffs. How many picks did he throw in those 3 games? 7?

the extent some here are going to defend the abilities of Jay. Enough with this guy already. He had 4 years of a pretty decent team with not great results. Get over the guy.

Oh BTW I am fairly new here. Have posted a coouple of times before.
Hpoing for a fresh start next year with no Wanny or Jay.
 
They know what they have with Jay. Why not start Feeley and see what he has? He'll have grasped the offense in this next month or so, give him the nod to start, with Fiedler waiting in the wings. What could it hurt? Seriously?
 
Salisbery Is so full of himself. I think he gets bjs from jay to. And Ditka is suffering from Viagra overdosing. It's not like these guys are in miami watching what's going on. It's all hot air from those 2 guys.
