Im pretty confident with Devlin backing up Tannehill, but I'd still bring in a vet to compete with him for that role. I dont want Garrard to be THAT guy though...

They should have him come back and do some landscaping or maintenance work to repay some of that money he stole last year.

I'd take him on the cheap as a back up. I think these guys like "what's his face" as our back up though. (not moore, the kid from Delaware)

That ship has sailed. Devlin seems like a sharp kid and should have a crack at the number 2 job.

Hasn't he stolen enough money from Steve already? I'd rather face off against him on the jest - not to mention avoiding another non-stop Omar barrage of pro-Garrard, anti-RT17 again helplessly revealing his "true colors" (pardon the pun)

Guy has some stones. Robbed us last year and willing to take another shot at our owners dough. Guess it never hurts to try but this is about as far fetched as some of the offseason plans floating around this joint.

He had his chance, either re-sign Matt Moore or promote Devlin.

This guy is hustling us and always has been. I knew he was full of it the year he was begging us for a contract and bashed us for being to cheap, and a day later had back surgery. Dolphins need to move on from this guy asap.

If anybody knows whether he is worth it, it is Philbin. If they sign him, I don't mind at all.

He was on sirius NFL on Monday. He had just worked out for the Jets and was hoping they would offer him a contract to compete with Sanchez.

It was the only team that had him do a workout.

I'm sure with the offers he is getting (none) he would play for just about anyone right now. Pass

Yeah, so he can steal more money from us?

No thanks at all. I have no respect for him after last season. Matt Moore was totally professional not being the stater, you could tell Garrard thought it should be handed to him

I had to check to see if this article was from this year and then I had to ask myself if I was in the Twilling Zone or something.

He's already claimed the Jets as the "ideal" spot for him. David is just begging for suitors.

    Eff off, Garrard.

Garrard is just interested in scamming another mil or so from anywhere he can.

I guess he couldnt get a deal with the Jests after that workout last week. When the Jests wont offer you a contract to play QB you know its bad. I guess he figures since he fooled the phins last year they are his last best chance at squeezing one last check from football.

Damn. Went back and read the responses in this thread........ I feel like I disappointed with my response. I promise later tonight I will get a little more real on this topic. Kinda busy right now. Im not in a foul mood either. Hopefully something will happen later to piss me off. Then I will come into this thread guns blazing.

Tired of recycling other people's trash, let alone our own. Give Devlin a chance to EARN the #2 Spot and bring in a veteran QB to compete (not named Garrard).

Why not Richard Marshall who will still probably steal more this year, or Lydon Murtha

It was handed to him by our staff until he got hurt. I dont understand the foolish hate for Garrard or how he was so unprofessional The damn guy got hurt crap happens. The stupid theory that he did this on purpose is flawed on so many levels since he would have made alot more money if he was on roster after week one. I swear some people's opinions are based so far in fantasy that drug testing should be done. The dolphins cut Garrard because it made no sense to pay extra money to a guy that was still not healthy, pure business.

Any of yall want a hamburger. WHAT!!!? Its got cheese on it!

Cheese on a hamburger was emphasised on several occasions in that film. It was critical. Countless great lines in that movie.

    Absolutely! My point exactly.
Yet I will add this: In preseason; prior to Garrard's injury, it was a pretty close competition between Tannehill, Gerrard and Moore. Let's forget that fact.
