Tua time!
This article sucks by the way
And what is funny about this is, those very same people then come in and lambaste him for calling a pass at the end of the 1st half the other day, due to the fact that Cutler made a balls of it and threw into double coverage. From what I could see on the play (and I've only seen the broadcast stuff, and replays of said broadcast stuff, none of the good fancy film that others can see) Parker looked like he had a step on his man on the other side of the field. That's a brief look at the start though, before any break etc, so I can't confirm that. Either way, throw the ball away if no-one is open. Just don't try and force a terrible ball into double coverage.People slagging on the play calling atre typically the same people who want us to sling it deep.
Go back and look at every 15+ yard pass Cutler has thrown this season and tell me you really want us slinging it deep more.

But yeah, the people complaining about his "non agressive" "obvious" playcalling are the same ones saying he should have been conservative here. So essentially, he should call a perfect game, which his QB should execute perfectly every time. That's basically what I get from the gripes :)
Agree put then why not play Matt Moore. He’s more accurate and can challenge the entire field.People slagging on the play calling atre typically the same people who want us to sling it deep.

I, for one, have been wanting Gase to call a more aggressive game and I am one who has not and WILL not complain about that particular play call. That play was on Cutler, not the play call. With little evidence, it still seems as though Cutler has THE receiver picked out pre-snap.
There is nothing wrong with this, assuming that his pre-snap read is correct.
You read the defense and that dictates where you want to throw the ball. If the defense shows you something pre-snap, and then you confirm it after the snap, then there's nothing inherently wrong with having 'picked' your guy before the snap. That's how you throw with anticipation for the most part.
When teams can prepare a defense around Matt Moore starting it is a train wreck, that is my big problem with him as the backup.Agree put then why not play Matt Moore. He’s more accurate and can challenge the entire field.
It's one thing to pick 'first read' and another to pick THE receiver. Maybe I should say it seems he locks on to the first receiver
