He's pretty good on the interior, but he ain't worth Terron Armstead money. No effing way!

We can't re-sign everybody. With the salary cap mess we are in, we can't afford to pay an OG $17M annually no matter how good he is. I really don't even think he was that important to our success. Our OL played well in his absence last year and when he returned against the Bills and Chiefs, he made no impact.

Miami needs several new o-linemen, so it wouldn't make sense to pay Hunt a lot of money. He was decent, but he wasn't "elite". Besides, he was always one of the most penalized players on the team, so let him go. And, with Williams probably going to be less than 100% after his injury, they'll need a new starting Center too. Unfortunately, Grier is still the guy who will be getting new linemen.

Mahogany from Boston College maybe could be the replacement? I know Miami has met with him and, coincidentally, he's been compared to Hunt.
I keep hearing we are totally good on the OL, so I'll just assume that's true.

Absolutely. I think he’s our best interior lineman by a longshot. If someone pays him that much, I’d be very happy for him. Hopefully we get a good round compensatory pick for him.
A $17m per year 4 - 5 year deal should net a 3rd round comp pick.
Haynes, Mahogany and Beebe in round two could interest Grier. And Fautanu in round one could become a serious target for Miami.
