John Abraham..

I've followed the Falcons since I was a kid and I have to say that Abraham has gone thru a while, what Wake has been facing the past couple years and what JT went thru for years here. That being no help on the other side when it comes to pass rushing. The Falcons drafted and paid high $$$ to try and get him help, but nothing panned out. He still mannaged double digit sacks every year just like Wake has managed. I say don't waste Wakes years by waiting on someone to develope. Besides, those guys will get plenty of playing time because Abraham and Wake will need breaks.

Don't forget when Van Gorder had him lined up at nose tackle in the playoffs against Green Bay.

Abraham is also a guy who seems to have a problem with authority. He never plays if he is hurt even a little bit. Last week he tested the coaches by missing his flight to Miami for a visit. The coaches refused to wait for him and he missed the meeting. So forget about Abraham wearing a Dolphin uniform.

I'm thinking that must be it. What else could it be? They have reason to believe in Olivier Vernon, but Abraham is still productive and Odrick SHOULD be given more time at DT

Signing Abraham also gives Vernon and Kaddu another year to show their development and we can push pass rusher draft need over to next year and allow us to focus our picks on OL and Secondary. Sign Abraham.

Abraham is 34, but 10 sacks last year? Put him opposite side of Wake for one year, have him mentor Odrick and Vernon...this coming year will be scary for offenses lol.

I'd even rather sign Abraham over Grimes as there is more 2nd round depth at CB than it is quality pass rushers and if we need to trade up for Lane Johnson then we need our 2nd rounders specifically for CBs and can't waste any of the two on no pass rusher busts.

But of course, sign BOTH. :D

We need a 3 down end to compliment Wake, cause a good QB running the up tempo offence will keep the specialist on the sideline.

John Abraham would have been my top target at that position even with his age. I have a lot of respect for what he does on Sunday. The Falcons will regret going from Abraham to Osi at about the same money (or at least, that's my impression).
