JT Ranks #11 On Gil Brandt's Top 30 GOAT Defensive Ends

Now that is truly messed up, and I'm not even trying to say Suh definitely deserves to be on the list but to put Williams on there even?! and Donald at 16?!?!?!

Right!!

How is Williams on the list of the Greatest Dts of ALL TIME?!?!? lol

Donald already is the 16th best DT EVER 3 years in the league lol

But but but, sniffle sniffle, JT played for the Jets for a season SO HE'S UNDERSERVING!!! :arghh:arghh:arghh

On this list, which isn't bad other than Michael "offsides" Bennet being on it, JT should be 5 or 6 w Selmon. None of the guys between him and Lee Roy were as disruptive, including Strahan (who I love by the way). All those forced fumbles, picks and TDs- game changing plays - he belongs even further up the list IMO.

JT's numbers are sick! 48 FF, 29 FR, 8 INT and 9 TD's, are u kidding me? That's what got him first time ballot. He was a big play making defensive end. Not just a sack guy.

I like and respect Gil Brandt. He's got knowledge going way back. I remember him talking about the draft being held around Thanksgiving, although I can't remember the reason for it.

Anyway, I think Suh needs to be on that defensive tackle list. Donald is great, but Suh has dominated for a longer period of time.

Agreed. Compared to a lot of the greats on there and ahead of him in the rankings (including Strahan) JT made far more game changing plays etc.

first time ballot HOF. what more can he do to get respect? I remember absolute drag out fights about JT's worthiness of making the HOF and there are still guys here who think he shouldn't' be in the HOF.

Definitely won a few games for Miami with some amazing defensive plays. I think his nine defensive touchdowns are an NFL record and really a remarkable feat.

Trace Armstrong was pretty solid before JT came along

Trace Armstrong in Miami was basically a pass rush specialist, who didn't play every down. Good player, don't get me wrong. As was Ogunleye (sp) during his tenure in Miami.

JJ Watt is the best DE I've ever seen. He will be #1
