Look at the Bright Side

Miami will now get a high 1st round pick. Wait......that means

they have now paid a steeper price for A.J. Feeley. Philly is laughing tonight at Miami. They riped RS off, and Miami is still paying.

This goes to show you how panicking can cost you. Everyone thought Miami 2nd round pick would be a late 2nd. Well you never know what will happen when you trade the future for the present. It cost Dan Reeves a top 5 pick in 2000, because of a 1999 draft day trade for a 2nd rounder.

No running game, no passing game. Heck JT, Zach and everyone else may be headed to Asia right now.

Your only assuming that Feeley is not worth the price. As for laughing at Miami for giving up a second rounder. Philly fans were right here on this site saying how much they liked him. I don't recall anyone dropping by to say thanks so much you fools! I don't think RS panicked at all. I think he saw something that maybe you don't!

Oh yeah, here is the depth chart for the year 2001, and I believe their final record was 11-5, so your now we will get a high draft pick holds no water.

Oz, How could anyone see anything in Feeley? He did not see the field last year. He has only start a handful of games since HS. What could he have seen? Also why will Miami not give its own young players a chance? I'm not sure Sage is not better than Feeley. Miami always wants other teams young players and ignore their own. Wade Smith would not have seen the field last year, but because of injury he was forced to play. Look how it turned out?
Smith looks to be a very promising lineman.

Feeley was not worth a 2nd. He was a listed 3rd string QB. He was worth a 3rd at best. The only reason Miami gave up a 2nd is they did their usual. Trade the future for the present. Why Miami always want to give up high unknown draft picks for today kills me. That is why RW cost the Phins 2 No. 1. Had Miami not wanted to keep their 3rd for 2002 then they would have had RW for the price of a 1st & 3rd. Why did they want that 3rd?
Because they screwed up and draft Fletcher in the 1st in 2001, then traded the 2002 2nd round pick for a 3rd to draft Greenwood. Miami just have to have a 1st day pick in 2002 and it cost them their 1st round pick in 2003. They got Seth McKinney at the cost of better lineman a year later.

Bad move by RS/DW, yet most of their tenure has been surround by nothing but bad moves.

I'll give you that. However the D is now 3 years older, something you cannot look past. They do not have a RB that can pound the ball. Lamar Smith may not have been special, but he was big enough to handle the load. Miami does not have that as of right now.

Im spending about 300.00 to fly to MIA and stay for a few days for the Tennesee game, I better have some god damn hope!

Stop cryin guys!!! Just be glad football is finally here and we can watch our team play. Don't you feel lost in the offseason? Yeah things haven't gone our way but we still get to watch our team play on sundays insted of watchin basketball, baseball, or doing nothing. Football season is like 6 months of Christmas for me whether we win or lose. Besides, defense wins games. Ours has only got better except for the loss of Marion. We got Poole, Howard, and Eddie Moore is healthy again. Look at the damn patriots, they didn't have the best offense in the world. They barely won most of their games! Plus we have no games in the cold late in the season. We will win at least 10 games, mark my words. So kick back on Sundays watchin the fins and havin some cold ones like me.

The sky is falling the sky is falling

Screw that it has already fallen...now its time to pick up the pieces look at Miami's options, insert the best #2 WR we can find and move on.

I'm not ready to concieve anything yet. Miami still has a hell of a defense. The offensive line seems to be working better together today then it did a week ago. There is talk of capable #2 WR's out there on the market. I have never as fan seen Miami win less 7 games and I am not about to start seeing that this year.

One more thing, so freaking what if Miami gets a high draft pick next year...rookies, even #1 draft picks usually don't contribute enough to change anything in one year.

You are old enough to remember 1988. 6-10 record.

I'm so glad I paid for NFL Sunday Ticket just to watch an injury riddled Dolphins team limp through the season. Come on guys, we've gotta pull it together!

Listen all you people saying a Second Rounder was too much for Feeley.. Why dont you wait until he PLAYS first to pass judgment on the decision..

Lets just hope RS trades away RW to Oakland for a 1st rounder and we'll be sitting pretty with 2 number 1's! Hopefully Oakland will go 0-16, but you can bet we'll be competitive and finish right around 9-7 getting us a 17 or 18 selection in next years draft!

I do not care what he does. At the time of the trade he was not worth a 2nd.

You say wait till he plays. I'd feel more comfortable if I knew he was going to play. They begged JF to stick around. Tells me that were not sold on Feeley from the moment of the trade and needed a known backup plan.

If Miami would stop trading away future picks at a higher cost then they might be able to get actual value for their trades.

Feeley was listed as a No. 3 QB on the depth chart. We all have heard why, but do we really know for sure? No we do not. So you have to look at the depth chart.

Miami traded a No. 2 for a 3rd string QB. That is a fact. Why? I'm not sure. Its not like this guy came out of college starting. He lost his job to Smith and then Harrington took over for him.

I'd rather Miami had given Sage the chance to fail before going out and giving up a pick for a player drafted lower than him in the same draft. At least we know Sage was good enough to start in college.

ill agree because why give up a second rounder on someone that may not start..your right but i will wait to see if he starts and how he performs before i call for Ricks head after his first year as GM.
