Oh...so Ronnie couldnt run on the sissy Denver/Jets rushing defense (respectable run stiffers),and Caddy was terring up great run stuffing teams, thus putting him on that big plateau plus Caddy ran into his 4th great run defense, looked sub-average but it was due to the injury he got in the 3rd Qtr.:rofl3:
Most of us in this thread are joking, but its nice to see the Caddy wagoneers come up with excuses that are good for Caddy but not Ronnie:shakeno:
We knew until Gus got it going,Denver/Jets/Carolina were gonna stack the line forcing Gus to pass.Teams did it alot last year and it worked. With Gus they may have to rethink how easy it was last year VS this year.
Heck the Carolina Defensive players were saying it on the sideline in week 3......"Its only Gus Ferotte"
Now that teams respect Gus a little more it will allow the running game to take off, opening up more opportunities.Caddy on the other hand will face stiffer run defensive schemes knowing he is a threat.NFL is a game of checks and balances. You have to go after teams strengths. If you're balanced its alot harder. But right now Tamp's strength is running and Caddy will find it tough running like he had it the first 3 weeks.
Griese needs to take advantage of defenses playin up,like Gus has.
Its great we get to play Tampa in 2 weeks and Ricky will be back and Ronnie will be even more confident.
Wait till the comparisons after that game:):):)
