Merged: holy cow! / Oklahoma Getting Killed

BCS sucks, LSU and USC would be my pick but the BCS will pick OU and LSU. This mess still is not as bad as when Miami beat FSU and both had one loss but FSU went on to play in National Championship game. Man that sucked.

all the big sports writers and myself knew ksu had a shot at winning, but never in my wildest dreams did i think by 28!:rolleyes:

Now I'm not going to diss him, because he didn't say KSU would get their asses handed to them, BUT OU may not even reach the NC this year, we will see. They were a powerhouse until they met a real team tonight.

Ok, I'm done, just felt like I needed revenge since EVERY SINGLE PERSON I have ever talked to about college football this week either on FH, at school, or just with friends has told me that K-State didn't stand a chance, I think I've proved them all wrong. And don't use the excuse that OU played bad. We rocked Jason White's house tonight, our DL absolutely stuffed the running game of OU's and Darren Sproles and Ell Roberson are just too elusive for OU's defense has they have been for every other defense this season. I hope we get the 'Noles in Arizona at the Fiesta Bowl cause we're gonna have one hell of a time chomping on them 'Noles, but we do it Cat style in Manhattan, not Gator style.

K-State played amazingly well and they deserved the game. Oklahoma played badly, but that's because Kansas State made them play badly.

Congratulations K-State.
 
According to ESPN.com, Oklahoma is almost a sure bet to get into the Championship Game.

They have NO RIGHT being there. Like Nebraska, they just got their azzes handed to them. I agree that they were dominant all year. But they just got destroyed. They didn't win their conference. But yet they'll have a chance to play for it all?? Meanwhile, USC and LSU are taking care of business right now.....and one of them is likely going to get stiffed.

Imagine the Dolphins winning out in December and beating the Titans in the AFC Championship game by an enormous margin. Meanwhile, Kansas City gets beat by Baltimore 35-7. But instead of Miami heading to the big dance, Kansas City goes in instead.

I know it's more complicated than that. But in the simplest of terms, that's exactly what's going to happen.

it would be nice to see the canes get in, but still, i'm rather intrigued by a rematch with ohio state!;)
 
Well, here's the Problem. USC lost by 3 sure, but it was to Cal. They are not a good team. That's one problem. I still say that it should be LSU / USC... OR, let OU and LSU play and U of M and USC play, the winners can play each other and be the national champs. that would be fair, I think.

That's a good idea, we need some kind of playoff system like that.:cool:
 
If the BCS stayed as is and a 4 team playoff was done with the top 4 teams (#1-#4, #2-#3). It would solve lots of problems. To be the best you need to beat the best. I say that but one day there will be 5 teams deserving to be in the game.

USC also lost first & have the longest winning streak of the three. The NC is supposed to match up the two teams with the best record that are playing the best. USC also lost that game because their kicker missed a FG in 2OT.

the bcs was formed to eliminate these problems, but all they do is create more. i still think there is some money changing hands somewhere!:rolleyes:
