Alex freaking Smith?! Lmao yea he will sell out the stadium.

This franchise is a joke, missed out on RG3 foolishly thinking that we were ever the favorites for Peyton Manning, like he would really wanna play for a team with a clown ass front office like ours, and now we're settling on mediocre guys like Flynn and Smith.

Good job Stephen Ross, way to compete with the Heat for star power!

I hope he's ready for more empty stadiums.

How do you figure we were ever the favorites for peyton manning? Because some d bag in the media told you so. Think for yourself and wait for actual factual reporting.

Missed out on RG3? So you think we should have traded 4 #1's to move up? There is an easy way to fill seats, win games.

Its a complete joke that this idiot has a job.

Sad to say that our franchise has become the true laughingstock of the league. Only we would be ignorant enough to think that we could convince a hall of fame QB who only had a 2-3 year window to win another super bowl to join our team while trading away the only legit offensive weapon we have on the team.

we should have just tanked or traded up for RG3 weeks ago, I can't believe you myopic fools actually believed that we were ever the front runner for Peyton with this joke of a front office in place. Now the best we can do is sign sorry ass Matt Flynn.

Ireland is completely incompetent and Ross is dumb as rocks for keeping and believing in him.

Lol. Sure, and what would Miami have offered to better the trade the Rams got to move up to #2? C'mon, be realistic.

Exactly. That's what's truly 'embarrassing' around here, is the fans who get their info from the talking heads and believe it.

It's Homers versus Haters. I try to be objective, but I do understand why some of our brethren are unhappy with the way the off season is going so far. Hopefully, things get better after ther draft.

It is all perception. We are the most dysfunctional organization in the NFL? Are you kidding me? We're not even the most dysfunctional team in our division. The Jets are an imploding train wreck that just ponied up a huge financial apology to Mark Sanchez (what they were apologizing for, I have no idea) and the Bills handed Ryan Fitzpatrick a huge contract shortly before the clock struck midnight and his glass slippers fell off.

How much longer do you think Rex Ryan's honeymoon lasts? How about Chain Gailey's? Those guys are gonna be gone within 2 years and there won't be a peep about how poorly those franchises are run.

Agreed. The perception geographically based. Simply put, the myopic fools are the ones in the media (major media is based where?).

Explain why The G Men & Cheatriots have been in the SB twice in the last 5 yrs. Simple faulty demographics. A majority of the US no longer lives along the northern Atlantic seaboard. Rarely is a team from the NE not in a recent Super Bowl.

Just think that when not if the jest & beefalo implode Wanny & the meatball will have another shot @ being an HC. Then, the real comedy will begin.

Ireland is pretty bad. It's funny that no one disputes that. We all just claim people are hating on him. Not many believe he is anything special we just defend him. That's kinda sad too. I'm tired of the Irelaand "hater" threads, can we get some Ireland "lover" threads? Can we go back and count the number of times the word hater has been used on this board.

Loving or hating Ireland is irrelevant. We as fans don't have any control over what decisions he makes and why he makes them.
I guess bashing him makes a frustrated fan feel better but in the end it just makes him appear irrational.

All we can do is hope the decisions that are made will improve the team.
The negativity on these posts just breeds contemptment. It would be much more enjoyable to read these posts without the negative energy.
JMHO.

Yeah, but Finfan54 nailed it.

You WONT read about those other situations in Miami. Arm-And-Oh and his Co-wart Oh-mahr never seem to cover that angle.

I do hear about the Jest implosion, often, and the Bills shiney gold paint here in Dallas....and how the Phins are middle of the pack, but are just a great head coach or 3 key players away from being great...and they despise the Phins here for whatever reason....

Perspective is a very very good thing, and those living in the heart of Dolphin country don't get very much, and it's really not their fault. I would just strongly suggest reading outlets that aren't local, because for whatever reason, the Miami outlets are absolute CRAP!!!!

Giants and Patriots lucked into clutch quarterbacks. It is not easy to get a franchise QB, the only position that puts you over the top, witness Brees, Rodgers. The options this year at grabbing someone who is close to a slam dunk, according to the so-called experts, were exactly one: Andrew Luck. Every other option is a crap shoot. Flynn is as big unknown as Manning. That's right. That dude is coming off of cervical fusion surgery. That means his anatomy is altered completely. We have no idea how his body is going to respond to the punishment he's going to take. Flynn is four years removed from a sustained body of work. And now Alex Smith. Who are you going to get? Shellshocked draft bust, or the Harbabugh reclamation project we saw last year, mostly handing off to Frank Gore?
There is only one guy out there this FA class that I think is getting the money he deserves and that is Mario Williams. He's a dude you have to game plan against. No one is bitching about Ireland not going after him. What would you have Ireland do? Overpay for obvious stiffs like previous regimes?

Drafting is where he earns his cash. I liked what he did last year, free to make his own decisions. We may end up with real playmakers in Charles Clay and Jimmy Wilson, 6th and 7th rounders repectively. Pouncey was a rock solid pick. Thomas flashed. Clyde Gates is the pick that I don't see panning out, but it is the pick you make when your team was as slow as it was last year.
