You are a big Met fan, you don't remember genertaion K from the mid 90s? If this isn't close enough for you how about Butch Husky, rey Ordonez, Jay Payton, benny Agbayani, Bobby Jones?

I think Peebs is more excited about the CURRENT prospects the Mets have..
Just like I would if I were a Mets fan:

- Kaz Matsui

- Jose Reyes (has had a horrible season but still VERY young)

- Ty Wiggington (could turn out to be the next Agbayani)

- Richard Hidalgo (had an excellent 2003 season = 28 HR 88 RBI 572 SLG % 309 AVG and has been tearing it up lately)

- Victor Diaz (playing well in Norfolk AAA ball)

The Mets still can't be considered contenders because their pitching is suspect (pitching prospects are scarce as well) but IMO they do have 4 or 5 legit blue chip prospects)
