so naturally he has a plan to block a kick or return one. special teams makes me almost as nervous against the jets as thier D.

I remember when we released Ed Perry in favor of John Denney, I was pissed..

But hey!!!! Coaches know more than us and I have never seen a bad snap from Denney except his first season with us.

I wonder if Sparano will involuntarily fist pump Carpenter FGs and extra points?

There's a reason they are so good. Lots of practice the past 3-4 years.

It well can happen as a reflex reaction... as it's become obvious that cogitation is not one of his stronger suits. :idk:

So hopefully Fields has limited work, and Denny and Carpenter spend their day punching in extra points.

Now imagine if you had the same coaching staff, QB and WRs for that amount of time.

Fields is definately up there but based on last year and previous years I say Shane Lechler is the best in the game but its damn close. Hell Fields has been good enough to buy his jersey lol

God we never should have fired Westhoff. Hall of fame ST coach.

If I remember a dolphins - Jets game, Teg Ginn had 2 returns for TD and we won the game because of that since our offense couldn't score. He is great ST coach but I have seen better at that position..

Please tell me you are not judging him based on one game and one player...

Westhoff is a damn good coach. Luckily, Sparano is not.

Pretty sure Murtha got cut so we won't have to endure his laziness on special teams.

I think Denney, Fields, and Carpenter are the highest rated fins on Madden, if not in the top 5 for Miami.

We also got an ace IMO in Marlon Moore, a damn good returner in Thigpen. And Lane is a very solid blocker.

Isn't he the one who said: "you can't make chicken salad with chicken s***" when he left our coaching staff?

I don't often care for kicking and punting. But Brandon Fields can actually be a game changer. I remember that game against the Jets two seasons ago where he averaged about 60 yards a punt. Unreal.

Dammit Westhoff, that Tebow 4th down run on their own 20 was bad enough, we didn't need you voodoo jinxing our kicker.
