Another thing to think about. He might not have been 100% last season. But another thing, might be the Fangio scheme and use. Several players spoke out about misuse, so it's possible Needham was misused like everyone else.

He was playing some safety last year...I feel he would be better there...he's really slow, and after the Achilles, he was even slower, however, he's instinctive, tackles well, always in the right spot, covers well, takes good angles which all improves playing speed... @Marino2.0 and I discussed this in 2022 about how he'd be a fantastic fit at safety moving forward.

Good move. Solid depth at nickel and / or dime (with Kohou). Still would like to see us bring in a vet capable of starting until (hopefully) Cam Smith can take over.

As long as there is little guaranteed money in this deal, this is a good signing for us. He's a decent player who should be back to full strength this year.
His best spot has always been slot corner, though as a few brothers have suggested, he can also play 3rd safety.
Like the Campbell signing, these guys have to actually make the team in training camp, neither will be guaranteed to stick.
