Nobody elite!!!!!!!!!

looking through roster, we do not have one player who would be widely considered in the top 5 for his position.

I believe when healthy ronnie brown is knocking on the door, and y bell is having solid year, but to push for superbowl in next 3yrs do we need one or two elite players. looking back at history, im trying to think of team who did not have this type of player.

Do we need it, if so who has the potential??????????????????????

Ronnie, Langford, Merling, Jake Long or ........................????????????????????

whuh!?

What about Ronnie & J-Peezy?

both of them are easily in top 5 in the league

If there were a category for QBs that said "Get the job done" he'd be number one int hat category right now. unfortunately that's not a category. Numbers wise Penny isnt amazing. He;s doing well though and Its great that hes here.

He's the most accurate QB of all-time passers....statistically speaking that is.

As a pass rushing lb (a position in all 3-4 d's), Joey Porter could be arguably the best. That's #1 as a pass rushing lb. Definitely elite, and how we had the luxury to be able to trade J. Taylor.

you dont need an Elite player to go to the super bowl your team just has to work harder then the other teams and believe in what the coachs are doing

We have three players leading in the fan pro bowl balloting. Joey Porter is on pace to break the NFL sack record. What is it you need to qualify somone as elite?

Pro Bowl balloting doesn't qualify someone as elite!

well, and before i say all this I like pennington as a QB, but there are a two big factors that go into that.

1. Pennington has only played all 16 games in a season ONCE in his career. (heres hoping this years is #2) With the second highest amount only being 13 games, and after that 12 games during his first year starting, and sadly, THIS YEAR is actually only his fourth time completing over 200 passes in his 9 year career.
2. The avg yard per throw in his career is barely over 7 yards.

And despite his accurate numbers, his TD/INT ratio is a rather unimpressive 3/2. So he has a high percentage for completions, but he really isn't as careful with the ball as his completion percentage would suggest.
