OV worst contract in NFL history????

It's up there. Haynesworth's was awful of course. Joe Flacco didn't deserve to be anything close to the highest paid player in the league in 2013. Go back a few years and Alvin Harper got what was then ridiculous money from the Bucs.

Some more in this link (including Larry Brown's contract, which is another one that came to mind):

I fully expect Vernon's contract to make that list one day.

52 million and 29 million in the first year for a player with some of the lowest football IQ on the Dolphins, which is saying quite a lot.

Price is relative to how much you have to spend. We have very little so everyone is expensive.

That said, it's a crazy high salary for what he delivered in Miami. We'll have to see if it's expensive for what he delivers in NJ. My gut says yeah.

One thing is for certain, no one holds a candle to Pouncey's dumbass.

Near as bad as our eagles trade

I don't want this to sound like sour grapes, and I am really happy for OV, it's great for he and his family..... But I honestly was upset when we tagged him for the 12 and change. I really thought he was 8 mil per max in my mind. Could you imagine what BSPN would have said if we signed a mediocre player to that contract? My question is, am I the only one who thinks that contract has the potential to go down as one of the worst in NFL history?

It was a deal like this with Suh that prevented us from resigning our own drafted players. NYG are in win now now now mode
