If Weaver runs the 3 safety system we’ve seen in Baltimore the past few years Poyer could be a huge signing.

It's the noticable thing with these signings. They are all good tacklers, something the Dolphins defence has been terrible at for years. Just go watch the Ravens v Chiefs championship game and watch how many missed tackles there were. It was the thing that really stood out in my mind just how good both defences tackled.

Agreed. I've emphasized similar. The second half of that game in particular was amazing in terms of open spaces that were closed down in a hurry and finished off with a sure tackle. Both sides. Neither defense resembled the Dolphins at all, full strength or otherwise.

Poyer will tackle. I'm not sure he can close down spaces anymore.

We need to find defensive tackles with tackling radius. Raekwon went nuts every time he made a tackle, largely because his effective radius is so small you basically had to run into him.
