I dunno, maybe they just wanted to get Cam in for a 2nd interview now that he was available. Hell, on ESPN radio they said that the Fins might call Brian Schottenheimer and see if he wants to re-enter the race now that Marty is not available.
I'm not saying you're wrong (since you're right a hell of a lot more times than I am), but Wayne strikes me as a guy that will interview everybody before making a decision (unless he already knew who he want ala Nick Saban)
