Slimm's 2012 Underrated Junior Prospects (including draft eligible underclassmen)

Jonathon Massaquai is a stud. I noticed him last year when I was checking out Mario Addision. If he has another year like he did last year then he won't be underrated for long.

Wow great find with the Ellington Kid!!!!! I'd never even heard of him. He has game breaking potential.

I live in Portland so I've seen a lot of Barner and he's no Lamichael James but who is? He could still be a change of pace guy in the league where I think James could handle 15+ carries splitting time with a bigger back.

I would be extremely surprised if Aaron Murray decides to enter the 2012 Draft, but you just never know with these kids. He'll only be a redshirt sophomore this season, but he's eligible...

Did I mention that this kid is Drew Brees 2.0?

Aaron Murray vs. Auburn:

The Dawgs are my team so obviously I love Aaron Murray. But what a lot of people may not know is that there was a guy named Zach Mettenburger who was not as highly recruited that came in the same year as Murray. The reason I bring him up is because I thought that Mettenburger looked better than Murray. He was kicked off the team because he did some really stupid stuff and he deserved the punishment. This year he has a chance to be the starter for LSU. Jordan Jefferson is inconsistent at best. Mettenburger's biggest strength is his cannon of an arm but he has good mobility and he's aggressive. A gunslinger with the arm to back up the mentality.

You can see the arm strength in the video below, it's only 50 yards through the air but it's effortless and on the money:

Anyone that likes Tank Carder, can't help but like this kid right here... Shayne Skov is a patriot missile in pads...

He's a tad bigger than Carder, and the performances Skov put on towards the end of the season were some of the best in the entire country from a linebacker, especially his Orange Bowl performance against Virginia Tech. This is a kid who I think is very much subject to come out early....

Yeah my cousin is a Stanford alum, so I went to the Orange Bowl and was like WHO IS THAT GUY?! Skov is a beast, man. He can be one of those guys that might not be the best in the NFL, but will be in on every play.

he got kicked off the team for drinking underage and showing his fake id, thats a little extreme if you ask me.

This guy right here is a big reason why Andrew Luck is able to stand back there and pick apart defenses. Jonathan Martin isn't the best left tackle in the draft if he comes out (that would be Matt Kalil in my opinion) but Martin is plenty good enough.

Martin has pretty decent feet, but lacks the punch to really stun defenders. He tends to let defenders close the hip gap on him because he can't "sit" and punch... doesn't anchor against the rush as well as he should. Needs to get stronger...

Good player, but I need to see more from him as a Junior to give him a high grade....

So youre saying if we win a few games, this kid is ours. Nice. We may not lose enough to pick 1st overall and get Kalil, but at least we could have a shot at a kid who blocks for Andrew Luck. And we all know its the LT that makes or breaks your QB. Drafting one of these two kids sets us up at RT for quite a while. A couple of more seasons and our OL will be set.

David DeCastro will be our first round pick if ****** is here.
