Serious?

Yeah let’s just keep the cornerstone LT that doesn’t grow on trees and call it a day. While Clowney is out of play . . . Have to wonder if adding a 2020 third aids the Texans pursuit of Tunsil?

I would like to personally thank Mr. Clowney for his assistance in making sure our franchise LT stays where he belongs.Barry JacksonVerified account @flasportsbuzz 25s25 seconds ago
To make this clear from 2 people with direct knowledge: Dolphins asked for 2 very high picks and Clowney to consider trading Tunsil. Houston was moving in that direction but Clowney refusal to come to Miami scuttled that.
They can try, but you need someone to pick up the phone on the other end. I’m not picking up the phone unless we’re getting a Herschel Walker-like package, and nothing else.Im with you, but I never considered Clowney as a major part of any Tunsil deal. Don’t see how him being out of play stops Houston from trying to obtain Tunsil. A 2020 third is more valuable than Clowney, and Houston just added that.
Wow, does every one of your negative hot-take posts the past few pages sound ridiculous now!Absolutely false! Clowney was set to sign tender before third preseason game. He was informed of trade he refused. Our front office tried to convince him and failed

Good deal for SeattleNot worth as much in trade as thought.
2 scrubs and a 3rd round pick is what they got for him from Seattle.
Good deal for Seattle
I would have accepted the same deal, as if he left in FA we would get the 3rd back as a comp pick.
Problem with him is I would be fearful of paying him a guaranteed contract to keep him.
