Taylor's contract

do u have a link or anything? i believe u its just i never heard that.
Here is a link that sorta mentions it. Doesn't say he will retire here, just that he plans to play out his contract.

Taylor, who hinted at retirement following the regular-season finale against the Colts, told S.I., that "barring something drastic, I'm here to play out my career.'' He's signed through the 2009 season.

hey has said he will finish his contract, which ends in 09 and the retire to do acting/modeling

The porter situation was actually much bigger than that. He wanted a new contract and they felt he would holdout making things much rougher on a new coach. green Bay obviously did not try to hard to resign martin since we did not give him that big of a contract. I dont doubt they would have resigned him but they do not seem that crazy about any of thier Te's and Donal Lee might actually be thier starter this year talk about ironic lol.

The Steelers were not worried about Porter holding out. They were even trying to trade him before he was finally released.

Over the past couple of days, Pittsburgh shopped Porter in trade discussions and there was some interest. In the end, the Steelers decided to give him the chance to find a new team instead of sending him somewhere he might not want to go.
Porter was entering the final year of his contract, and there weren't plans to sign him to an extension. Porter was scheduled to make $5.225 million this season
