Some people will find a way to blame Jeff Ireland for Ginn getting that tattoo.

That Tattoo is not stupid even if Ginn is not playing for us. It was the team that drafted him, regardless of how his career went. He was drafted by a professional sports team, which not many had done

He grew up a Phins fan and its not his fault where he was drafted.

Also the dudes shoe is in the hall of fame for his back to back kickoff returns when he single handedly beat the jets...lol

Nope, I blame him and Parcells for trading Ginn for a 5th and then leaving a hole at KR. No foresight as usual.

By 'legacy' he means the $19million contract he signed in Miami.

I was at that game. Jason Taylor also ran a fumble back for a TD - it was completely nuts-o. As much of a bust Ginn was that game/feat will be remembered for a long time!

why the **** do we care? Ireland didn't draft him, and other than two jets games he hasn't done **** in the league. Of course HE got the better deal, he's in the super bowl.

Never cared for Ginn, and I was rooting for the Ravens, but was anyone else kinda hoping Ginn would pull off some miraculous return at the end? That would have been epic.

Had no rooting interest, but I felt exactly the same away about that last return.

Ginn was a great returner for us, then he got soft in the return game after we made him a starting WR. He sucked as a WR and now he sucked as a returner too but we didn't have any other viable options at WR so they kept putting Ginn out there, so yeah, Ginn became useless to us because of Ireland's inability to get us a good WR. Five years later we're still pining for a good WR.

You might be right, but i would still take Rice over Hartline in a foot race as of today.

Not what we expected when we drafted him and figured he would always be associated with us.

One final thought on Ginn: I think his NFL career might be done, he still sucks as a receiver, he lost kickoff duties and it looks like he's lost a step on punt returns, on that long return he had tonight there's no way that punter gets an angle on him in 2007. He was just on a one year deal with the 9ers and I doubt they bring him back, some desperate team might sign him for the minimum but I think he's on his last legs at this point.

At least he will go out on a high note and can tell his kids/grand kids he played in the Super Bowl. Very few players can tell that store. Ted is a good dude so I have ill will towards the guy. He gets a ton of hate but if we are going to hate anyone, it should be the front office for making stupid draft mistakes.
