Can someone explain to me how things would be any different if there's a lockout, compared to now? I get that the players cant have communications with the team, cant work out at the facilities, no free agency, yadda yadda. Players probably wouldnt get paid but assuming negotiations continue during a lockout, how is it any different than right now? Are those the only differences or is there something else that would happen with a lockout besides no free agency, trades, player-coach communication, etc?
