if he did go, i dont think he would resign which would almost make the trade pointless unless they can win the division with soriano.

it all depends on what they would have to give up. They have a decent offense already and Soriano would make them much better. I think they could use some pitching help first though. If Washington asks for too much, for players the Mariners can use in their future, then I wouldn't do it.
