What a glorious off season it will be - BB defending himself when he did nothing wrong - then why is he defending himself - I wouldn't

What a conclusion sherlock
In timing for the ball to reach point A to point B. Less air slows the ball.maddog, weren't you the one posting a study done by espn or shown on espn about how small a difference it would be, with a more deflated ball?
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...teve-young-nfl-deflategate-patriots/22130249/Exactly...and I have done it.
Obviously at some point it becomes too deflated...but at the required levels its a lot harder to grip it and control it than with 2 pounds deflation.
And I'm quite sure Mark Brunnell has thrown more NFL footballs than myself or anyone on this forum.
I would love to hear Marino's take on it.
It would be more compelling if the author would perform the analysis on games played outdoors only and also eliminated QB fumbles (often caused by botched QB-Center exchanges or strips of exposed balls where air pressure is unlikely to matter). I hope the league is doing this level of analysis but am doubtful.
Yeah this write-up makes you go hmmmmmm.....for sure. People balk at the effect of 2psi on a significant level but they wouldn't be doing it if there wasn't some advantage.

Actually a sports science study was done and determined the velocity of the ball would be reduced by .003 seconds on a 20 yard throw. Based on averages that is less than an inch that a timed route of that distance would be affected. Just watched that on ESPN.
They also concluded that average Joe's like us could squeeze the ball an additional 1mm. An NFL player could increase their grip 1.5 %
If this is the Packers its a non story.
