Why is Ginn not Returning Kicks ???

Why is Ted Ginn not returning kicks?
He is not proving to be a #1 WR and appears to be just an average WR.
He CAN return kicks at the NFL level as he clearly evidenced last year.
Why not have your best players do what they do best?
What are we saving him for by not playing him on ST?
Is returning kicks going to take THAT much extra out of him?
Shouldn't we be trying to get him as many "Touches" as possible?
Especially "In space" where he can potentially make a game changing play?
Can't he make the same impact returning a kick for a TD as running a 9 route?
Isn't ST 1/3 of the game?:err:
The Bears are using Devin Hester in as many roles as possible. Why don't the Fins do the same?:err:
Christ....we have played one preseason game.....maybe the coaches know what he can do and want to see other guys. Bunch of drama queens around this joint sometimes:rolleyes:

why is our starting defensive unit on the field only for a quarter ?

it's preseason, those are tests, evaluations.
Come week 1, ginn will be returning his first KO for a TD in the 08-09 season against none other than the stinkin jets

The obvious answer I would think is that you have to give your marginal roster players a chance to show that can can contribute in more than one position. The ability to play special teams often is the difference maker when deciding roster spots. Bess for example is a better receiver than Foster but if Foster can prove his value as a kick returner, that may give him an edge.

Wes Welker probably would've never been given a chance to show what he can do as a receiver if he hadn't been a good kick returner. If no one steps up, I would think Ginn will be returning kicks come opening day.

i by no means am impling that ginn gets cut, just thinking he's not a bp guy was a reach, sure i like him and want the best, just think i dont think he'll play for the fins for long..................1-2 years, so settle down flamer Jt
