If Zach Orr played slot CB, now then I'd be interested.
Orr is not a strong side linebacker. He's 6' 225 lbs...he's a weak side backer where we already paid Kiko Alonso a lot of money and we have Neville Hewitt behind him.
Orr is a MLB or WLB who had 3 ints and 6 passes defended last year. Kiko is also a MLB or WLB, but the 2 could figure it out. Timmons can play MLB or SAM. It may be over kill to bring him, but LB was our worst position last season, and we added a slowing 32 year old and a 2nd round pic, so I'm hopeful but very skeptical they will solve all of our woes. We have 17 million in cap space and Orr is young.
lol remember La'el Collins? This feels like the Dontari Poe sweepstakes but with less hope and no visit so far
It might be crowded, but not with quality. Among our projected starters, one is a rookie, another is on the downside of his career, and a lot of things can be said about the third, but a star he ain't. If Orr is healthy, it would be terrific to have him.
Also, what other position are you going to spend money on at this point in the season?
He can play weak side inside linebacker in the 3-4...I wouldn't put him in the middle of a 4-3. And he is young...he's also one hit away from being paralyzed...and before you say so is everyone else, Orr is a lot closer than everyone else, except for maybe Misi.
