If Cutler falls....

I am still for Croyle if he is available in the thrid but blowing a first rounder for an unproven quarterback when we already have Daunte Freaking Culpepper is out of the question
 
In the press conference announcing Culpepper. Nick did say that just because they have Daunte, it doesn't mean he still won't pick a qb in the draft. He said that if the best player available at the time is a qb then he would draft one.

agreed. We've already spent the 2nd and 6th rd picks on QB's.
I still can't believe they gave up a 6th rounder for Lemon.
 
No way we take him, but he may be working his way back up and all but who will take him. Saints and Jets both were thought to be looking QB and that is not the case anymore. He could fall not that it matters unless someone wants to make us a deal at 16 if he is there...
 
yes we still might take him because we still need a QB of the future and someone has to start the first couple games. No because we don't have a 2nd round pick to fill holes. Besides we are very likely to trade down!

Cutler is going to the Raiders. They have set themselves up for a QB. Cutler is a Raider type of QB. Whats funny is didnt Art Shell coach the last bust of a QB for the Raiders, Todd Marinovich? And the last QB isnt going past Arizona.
 
If we are lucky enough that he falls to us, Saban will trade the pick.

He won't fall though.
 
Hell yea.... you gotta take the best player available at that point. And I don't see Saban passing on a talent such as his. He could sit behind CP for awhile to learn, or be used as trade bait.
 
I say we don't touch him because we really don't need him now that Pepp is here. I say we trade out of the #16 spot to accummulate more draft picks:cooldude:
 
we lost three qbs (feeley, frerotte and sage...) so why not pick up three? I would be stoked to get cutler... but realistically i would rather cromartie at 16
 
How about taking a WR in the first or a CB, and Omar Jacobs in the 3rd round if he is there.:eek:
 
When you have as many other needs as we do, that would be a big mistake drafting him. We would probably end up trading down though.
