As someone who became a fan when Marino was about to retire, I’m going to say “gut wrenching disappointment”

Lol love "inherited". My dad's passes down his teams to me. I grew up in Jersey, so all my friends (jets fans) were brutal. I tell my dad all the time that he cursed me.
 
Shula did it with all won with a running game, defense and passing he is the top of the list. Dolphins since then stand for Disappointment!
 
I've been a fan since 1970 when I was 10. I totally experienced and appreciated Don Shula, but the 20 some odd years since him has left the toll on me. What do I think when I think of my beloved Dolphins? One word "SUCK"! I hope that changes, but the scars are real and they're not going away after one good year.... so that's it. no anger.... I'll always love the Dolphins, just hard to be proud of them now
