Traits In Qb

Love the question. Let's look at some successful guys (Brees, Brady, Luck) and see what we have ...

1. Ability to evade a rush ... doesn't need to be a runner, just make the first guy miss with a little move
2. Love of football ... spends extra time watching film, has an understanding what 3rd down means
3. College comebacks ... has shown at the CFB level the ability to bring a team back from behind

Draft a guy like this any time you can find one.
 
Accuracy, quick release and alqays looking to make a play qhen the picket breaks down...last resort throws it away. Oh, and a big one is the relentless pursuit of perfection. Be a bit of a leader ala Brady, Manning etc take care of biz if someone sctews up, will come with success

I know I'm a minority of one, but a new QB with all the traits won't help much in Gase's O. Miami would STILL run on 3rd and 28 and still pass on 3rd and inches. Still no mismatches. Still run outs behind LOS. Top trait is a real OC.

This is where we gotta disagree.

Guys are open in this offense. Problem is the QBs running it aren’t properly going thru their reads quickly and are missing chunk plays.

Well, again, I'm not saying a better QB wouldn't improve the O. But the scheme and play-calling will cripple any but ELITE QBs. I can't imagine any of this years R1 rookies succeeding in this O.
