Offensive Line

Why is it that it’s always the good players getting hurt but the scrubs always stay healthy? Dallas Thomas and billy turner never got hurt. Any lineman worth a damn gets hurt. Ok then

Honestly, watching the poor play is very annoying and whats even more annoying is that Gase doesn't help the offensive line by scheming protection and moving Ryan outside the pock. I NEVER and I mean NEVER see any slide protection where the offensive line gap protects and leaves the end man on the line of scrimmage for the RB. Versus the Vikings Gase just continued to drop ryan back and get him smacked because he had no idea where the pressure was coming from. The offensive line is bad, but there are ways to help them out. I've coached offensive line for years and I've never seen a team with such vanilla o line play. No movement on pass pro, no sprint out, it's basically just grab your guy and hold on for dear life.

I swear I could a better job coaching those guys and putting them in a position to succeed. You have to know your guys strengths and weaknesses, but it seems like Gase doesn't really give a s***. It's line up and do the same thing over and over again so he can show Ross that these guys suck so he'll have sympathy on him and give him another year. They need to hire me as a consultant or something... it's pretty ridiculous. Slide and sprint protection slows down all those stunts and blitzes.

"A QB who's poor on 3rd downs and has bad pocket presence will never have an offensive line that's good enough.."

Joe Philbin 2014

"When a team is playing max protect on the O-Line, and there are somehow still two free rushers in the QBs face before he even reaches the top of his drop, it doesn't matter if you have Santa Claus at QB. Only people who have an agenda are gonna blame the QB for that weak-ass ****"

- Vince Lombardi

Barring a completely new Coaching and front office staff watching during FA period. Good young OL will use Miami as a barometer of market value the go elsewhere.

This front office thinks it can build a decent office using cast-off 32 yrs old and never-developed 26 yrs old.

Every year SOS rinse lather repeat.

I could not agree more. I watched Seattle the other night, and they've had major line issues so they stack 1-2 more guys on the line and go jumbo to avoid sacks. Sure, it eliminates some of the pro-style play options, but it keeps your QB on his feet, improves the run and can keep your offense on the field longer. We do nothing of the sort! Our WR's are a terrible weakness, so why would we want more of them out there? LOL

We gave up at least one sack last week when in max pro. With this line and collection of QBs it doesn't matter. Even with the advantage in numbers they cant provide time
