Would You Be Surprised If...

Yes to question 1, no to question 2. I think Tannehill is a goner but I HOPE we don't take a QB if the regime doesn't love one of them. We've heard their plan is to take one next year, anything else should be perceived as a PANIC move. This is getting blown up now because of the time of year but all along this wasn't supposed to be a good QB class. I've read Rosen would be the best one if he had come out this year and nobody wants him anymore.

I would not be overly shocked if he took a significant pay cut and stayed. I don't think he will be traded under his current deal. He either restructures taking less money here, to facilitate a trade....or he will be cut. If I had to bet on it, he will be cut.

Tannehill is too good to properly pull off a tank. Either keeping Tannehill or drafting a QB in round 1 would signal the same thing--just another patchwork job and no intention of tanking. I would be surprised and utterly depressed.

I wish Tannehill well. If he goes to the right system, he can have success. But it didn't work out here, and it is time for him to move on.

Tanny was a goner the moment Ross said he is done with being a middle of the pack team. Tanny is the ultimate inconsistent QB that won't get your team anywhere far, and your QB is the symbol of how you want to run your team these days. Flores wants a "tough" team with a leader, and Tannehill's never been that guy in the locker room.

As for QB in the draft, I'd be floored (and let down) if they didn't come out of the draft with anyone. This is the perfect opportunity to try out a young QB with low fan expectations and a willingness to give a player time to grow. "Doing it right" AND "doing it the Patriots way" both involve regular lottery tickets in the name of mid-round QB tryouts.

No, I wouldn't be surprised. I don't expect it to happen, but it is a real possibility that we have him for one more year.

Now let me ask a further question based on yours. If it turns out Tannehill does end up staying one more year and he plays and ends up with a great year and we go to the playoffs; what will be our QB situation in 2020?

Nothing this team does will surprise me, specially when is a bad move. He should be gone and over with but you just never know

The way this outfit has been run for the last decade or so?

Nothing would surprise me. At all.

They have a lot to prove.

Tannehill stays or goes, I won’t be a bit surprised

contract extension obviously....hahahaha

It would surprise me if Tannehill stays. I think everyone realizes it's time to part ways at this point.

I don't think the Phins will be in a position to take a QB in round 1 without trading up, so it won't surprise me if they go another position. However if they don't trade or sign a vet, I'd be surprised if they don't take a QB on Day 2.

I would be very surprised. Tannehill is a goner, Dolphins were shopping him around at the combine but it doesn't sound like he has much trade value because of his salary so looks we'll be cutting him. We're moving on from RT. New era.

If Gase was still here I would be panicking.
RT has no pictures of Flores.

If Tannehill is our starter, I would struggle to turn the TV on to watch it. I would, because it's the Fins, but would have to admit that I'm a glutton for punishment. :)
