Armando Rumor : Dolphins Serious About Trading For Josh Rosen

That being said, if you are all in on 2020, why even bother with using a top 100 pick on the position. Continue to build those lines and develop the many youngins you are gonna roster this year and put yourself in position to get what you really want next year.
Good post, but I don't understand what that means. You need a QB. You can get a top prospect on at a great discount price instead of needing to overdraft whomever next year. I say you pounce on it. And if he doesn't work out, it makes more sense moving on after one year (his second year as a pro) than what the Cards are doing. And if you hit, you do a jig and celebrate.

Just some random thoughts on this Rosen deal.... Does picking up Rosen Just delay the inevitable?

How long would we give him to develop? Would we pass on a QB next year if he shows "signs" of being decent?

Does he have a franchise QB potential? If not (which I think not) I say don't waste our time on it.

I just believe in having conviction in a QB is an important part of the process. Yea you have to negotiate in this unique situation . . . .but hopefully Miami doesn’t have the same thought process of many of the fans . . .which is “not for a third . . . .but a fourth . . . sure”.

The feeling seems to be, get him and still draft a guy in 2020, when really the 2020 option should be a fallback and we need to try to win with Rosen.

Not sure many believe Rosen is the future and if Miami feels that way they would be best served continuing the building up of the trenches and follow your true plan . . . .which is 2020 (if that is the feeling).

Trust the process.

And Im all about taking Rosen . . .I do it for 48 if the situation called for it . . . But I do believe you can get him for a third now . . . .maybe even a 2020 third. Value is tanking.

Apparently Steve Keim didn't start taking calls until a few mins before the start of the draft. With each pick, Rosen's value decreased.

Couple this with his hiring of Kingsbury, the capital spent to trade up for Rosen plus the monies paid to Bradford and Glennon and you can make a persuasive case that moving on from Josh is less a reflection on him and more an indictment of the stupidity of AZ and their GM

The Cardinals lost their leverage when they drafted Murray and the longer this takes, the less value they'll get in a trade. Miami can play hard ball since we have nothing to lose. At worse, we don't get him and we get our QB next year. The ball is in Arizona's court. If they want to be stuck with a QB controversy and media frenzy, go right ahead.

Ugh...

So would this take us out of 2020 sweepstakes?
