100% behind Moore

For now, I'm behind him too. Wait to draft a QB until next year

Why is it one or the other? The team has the 8th pick in the draft and has the leverage to take a good young QB.
What's wrong with Moore/Garrard as vets and drafting (and developing) their own franchise QB (like all the other good teams except N.O)?
I'm sick of all the 'wait until next yr' nonsense.
As bad as some of you think this team is, there is no guarantee they will finish worse than 6-10. The defense is strong and Garrard (if healthy) is a pretty good QB. I can see this team winning 8-9 games next season. That would put them in the latter half of the 1st rd. and perhaps out of reach of any of the top QB's

I think if Moore can learn to be clutch, he will be good.Garrard was a pro bowl QB in 2010. Trying to come back from surgery after sitting out last season. I do think MM was an afterthought last year, the much talked about competition for henne. The team clearly responded better to moore. If he plays well in Philbins system he will get paid.

how did the team respond better to moore... because we beat the bad teams while he was qb? we didn't be a single winning team last year, last time I checked... that basically means, we can compete with the ****ty teams in the league, and we get beat by the good teams.. hardly a formula for success IMO

Matt Moore did pretty well being signed just before the season started and had to cram to learn offense. He was a spark where Henne was not.You never know given a new offense to learn and Philbin must see he can be coached to be even better than Flynn.I don't think Moore is no Dan Marino by any means but he must be given another shot and get that rookie now to replace him..

There is a reason why this FO is trying to find his replacement. He is average at best. Will do good for a bit then bad for a bit.

His biggest issues
He is not consistent
He is not Accurate

Which are two of the biggest things you look for in a WCO QB. Moore has a very low ceiling in a regular offense but even lower in a WCO.
Chubbs

His accuracy was really in display in the Dallas game. That one game told me he's not average at best, he's just average, not at worst or best. He'll win games and do nothing but drop us in the draft because there's little chance he gets us to the playoffs.

You do understand dontcha that neither Brady nor Stafford beat a winning team all regular season either,- not just over 12 games starting eh? Last time I checked. Hardly a formula for success! Or that Ryan beat Detroit early on but during the last 9 games he only beat TN, who was a winning team based on a fluky last minute in game 16 vs Houston. And that Ryan lost to 4 winning teams? Or that Andy Dalton over a 16 game season only beat those same Fluky Titans while losing to 6 winning teams? Hopefully for the sake of their respective teams, none of the above will start next season, eh?

I think that after reading yet more articles bashing the Dolphins for not grabbing Alex Smith or Matt Flynn to start over Matt Moore, I'm about ready to become the biggest Matt Moore homer in the world. The same clowns who praise Buffalo for signing Fitzpatrick to a huge contract and gloss over the Jets trading for Tebow after giving Sanchez such a huge apology extension are taking a dump all over a guy who outplayed all of them last season? Yeah, well, I hope he does it again in 2012.

With whats available i think Matt should be our guy next year. The draft is not as strong for qbs this year, as we all hope for. Taking Tannehill so high at 8 is like taking finger nails to a chalkboard.

well, I'll play the debbie downer I guess.

it's not secret I have very little faith in matt moore. my question now becomes... IF we fail again... how many threads will I have to read through shifting blame from moore to one of either...
1. our WR corps is not good at all
2. he has no true #1 WR, even though half this board is quite happy marshall was dealt.
3. it's a new system, he's not familiar with the WCO
4. very unlikely, gararrd beats him out, thus making the coaches in some peoples eyes.. foolish or just plain incompetent.

I also hope he wins. thats the point, winning football games, as a fan thats obviously what you want. but the bottom line, I don't see any improvement in this team from last year, I could even go so far as to say, IMO.. we've made ourselves worse.. I realize the draft has to play out yet, but unless your somehow going to convince me we get 3-4 starters and immediate impact guys... I'll remain skeptical.. the other argument will be it's a team game, even though we all know that at the end of the day, the qb gets the cred and he's ultimately the guy who the wins and losses are based off of....

a blast from the past (well at least last season after game 3 Oct 1st). If it's Henne, blame everyone else, if it's Moore, throw him into the fire, eh?

I looked through the entire thread again, and nobody is saying he is elite. I'm on record as saying he is average. conversely I am on record as saying basically the 0-3 record is only hennes fault to the extent that he is the starter.

Whether its Moore or Garrard I'm all for it this year and whatever happens happens just as long as we pull out all the stops for Barkley next year. Tannehill is to much of a risk especially if it keeps us from drafting Barkley next year

Personally, I don't see a keeper for starting QB on the team. IMO Moore is a backup. I've never been a fan of Garrard. Last years coaching staff screwed up and didn't play Devlin to see what he can do.

I like the Philbin hire. If any of these QB's can develp into a better than average QB Philbin and Sherman can bring that out. Since we passed on all the quality FA QBs, we have to draft a QB to develop.

Even if we had signed Flynn I didn't expect anything better than an 8-8 season this year. New coaching staff, offensive system, change to 4-3 defense - too much change. What I want to see is a competitive team that improves as the season grows and can give the good teams a good game. However, next year and on I was hoping for much better.

I just feel we set ourselves back a year by going with the QBs we have now. My personal opinion.

i like moore as a person he has charisma. he seems like a leader. lets see what he can do this summer against garrard and lets see what he does this season.

Matt Moore is a guy you want to root for, even if he wasn't the Dolphins QB. Moore is a good person and has some moxy. I think he just needs to be surrounded by a better o-line and playmakers on offense. Face it, the cupboard is bare on offense right now.
