100 yard rushers

No you are absolutely right, I know we didn't allow a 100 yard rusher during the 2003 season. And I believe that streak was kept alive going into the beginning of the 2002 season, but I could be wrong on that.

I could totally be wrong here, but those stats are a bit misleading - didn't the Eagles RBs run collectively for 100 yards? While we didn't let one back reach 100, they were rather effective against us.

No doubt about it, I'm sure collectively some teams ran for 100 against us. Which isn't all that much when you factor in all the players running the ball over the course of a game. But yeah, I could definitely see the Eagles running for 100, they just completely owned us that game.

Our DT depth has something to be desired and despite our improvements(we wont be awful at run D), we will prob allow a few 100 yrd rushers.

It depends heavily on the DEs too. The Redskins don't have big DTs but they have huge DEs. That's why they can stop the run(although they suck with pass-rush). If Carter starts at LE thankfully we won't have an undersized guy trying to hold the run on the strong side.

BTW, did we have any 100 yard rushers last year?

Thats what I thought. Sad season... :nono:

last year in the first bills game morris ran for 91 yards that is about as close as the running back core could get to 100

In rushing it's all about attempts, not yards, offensively and defensively.

In passing it's all about yards per attempt, not total attempts or total yards, offensively and defensively.

There will be the usual skeptics, wrong again. Don't doubt it until you've lived it and studied it for at least one full season. At that point, you'll no longer question it.

Great point, rushing is about attempts rather than yards beacause with a couple of big plays you can pick up 100 on 10 carries or something, whereas if you've run the ball 25 times for 100 yards you've controlled the clock and kept your defense off the field

opponents can rush for 200 yards a game as long as we win!

most people feel that way. but it just lest you know the rest fo your team sucks...

i remember the 200+ yards R. Williams put up in the snow in buffalo. and the fins still lost.. :roflmao:

IF Saban was around last year and IF he grabbed Wilfork (he wasn't really a "Saban player" by virtue of his inconsistency and tendency to take plays off), we would have one nasty, nasty and young defense right now. As it stands, we're still looking pretty good.

If we lock up Randy, we've got a great TE, WR, RB under contract for a looong time and a very young defense. If we add a DT, S, LT in the next two drafts, watch out.
