I still say that the lack of playing time for rookies has more to do with coaches than anything else. They really don't like playing rookies. That was noticeable last year, and again this year. They simply don't like giving rookies extended play time. OV, Matthews, Miller barely got any playing time last season, and now you see OV and Matthews performing. Heck, they even wanted Tannehill to sit in the worst way.
I expect Dion Jordan will start to pay dividends next season, because the coaches have shown they want to ease him in. Even if we did draft the guys you mention, I am pretty sure the coaches wouldn't have played them to the extent they are being played on other teams.
