12-42-54-77-82-go-go - GO!!!

There is little to be gained from whipping oneself into a frenzy because other players were drafted. Nobody is going to get every draft pick perfect. Dion Jordan is still a very good prospect and will take a bit longer to see what we have. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back next year bigger and stronger and better prepared to make his contribution. Don't write him off yet.

No, that's a strawman's argument.

Do you not understand how easy it is for you to just sit there, look at the past, and claim "here's how it should have been!" Show us proof that you were high on any of these guys before the draft or gtfo.

I really wish I could go back and draft all these people. Then I would tell Ross to hire all of his scouts, talent evaluators and gm and hire just me. Why you ask? Well because I can see into the future to see who will be good. Call me Mr.Hindsight.......

It's just a way to deflect accountability from the gm.

Really? I said I think Ireland should be fired if we miss the playoffs because of this ****ty OL he built... That still doesn't stop me from calling out a halfwit who put up fantasy-land hindsight draft loaded with stars in an effort to somehow make himself look like a personnel guru. Its laughable.

Kiko Alonso and Sheldon Richardson, but Hey let's spend the future on Ellerbe and Wheeler who are utter failures, moreover let's move up and spend #3 pick on an injured tweener.

$90 mil on Hartline and Wallace?

That's just a slice of this year's stupidity.

Okay I want you to tell me who will be great this draft. Make a mock with superstars we can draft at each draft slot and this time next year we will look back at this and be fu**** blown away with how amazing you can draft. You obviously know something we don't.

I do not evaluate drafts after the first year. I will in year two and three. Give them some time before saying they were busts or overvalued.

Because Ireland's drafts have gotten so much better with age...

It's about poor personnel decision that show on the field and on the books and are holding the team back.

For example, we had two good LBs who were expensive in Dansby and Burnett. He decided to replace them with undersized unproven youngsters without saving any money, they are not performing well. That is a factual fail, performance wise and financially.
One better solution was the draft solution, cheaper and better. He failed.

There are factual repeated failures at personnel decisions, at the root of the thought process.

Yes really. It's not about hindsight... It's about pointing out how many opportunities there were to draft impact players. Ireland got nothing at this point, and the team has glaring holes.

Surprisingly, they have a little. Many of his drafts looked worse after the 1st year, than they do now. Not saying they were great drafts, just that some players that seemed like busts actually came on.

Reshad Jones, Nolan Carrol, Jimmy Wilson, Charles Clay, Rishard Matthews, Olivier Vernon are all players that look better now than they did after Year 1.

The point is that's what Ireland gets paid to do... And he is not doing it well enough.

It's always easy to look back at drafts and say WHAT IF???

The Portland Trailblazers wish they could go back in time and draft Michael Jordan instead of Sam Bowie.

What would have happened to the Patriots and Tom Brady had some team stepped up and taken Brady before the 199th pick? The Patriots would probably still suck, Brady would be selling insurance and not be married to Giselle. I would not have been aggravated the past 15 years.

What if the Miami Dolphins had won the Superbowl over the Washington Redskins in 1983, Dan Marino might have been drafted by the Redskins in 1984, one pick ahead of us. Or maybe the Steelers would have drafted Marino. That's life.

I still say that the lack of playing time for rookies has more to do with coaches than anything else. They really don't like playing rookies. That was noticeable last year, and again this year. They simply don't like giving rookies extended play time. OV, Matthews, Miller barely got any playing time last season, and now you see OV and Matthews performing. Heck, they even wanted Tannehill to sit in the worst way.

I expect Dion Jordan will start to pay dividends next season, because the coaches have shown they want to ease him in. Even if we did draft the guys you mention, I am pretty sure the coaches wouldn't have played them to the extent they are being played on other teams.

Every GM hits on everything they do but Ireland. I agree, we should go get Matt Millen. He helped turn around Detroit.
