13th pick who you be taking?

people saying we should draft a TE or S in the 1st round is not it.

It's gotta be OL/DL (or QB if Ward magically falls to us)
I wouldn’t sleep on that safety from Georgia. I’m not as sure about the Notre Damn guy. But high end talent is high end talent. I know that position has lost value. But this kid could be a difference maker.

Warren would be a good start to reform this team into an AFC East style physical franchise. This will take three years to reshape the culture
Watch he will end up with Pittsburgh or some other smart team who just takes the BPA

Miami has done extensive scouting on Georgia safety Malachi Starks and LB Jalon Walker. They've also heavily scouted DT DJ Sanders. But he's more of a day 2 guy.

Picking #13 I'd keep an eye on.
1) Jalon Walker
2) Kelvin Banks
3) Malachi Starks
4) Kenneth Grant

Mason Graham is possible if he falls.

We will likely lose Holland in free agency, leaving us with no devcent playes below the age of 30 in the secondary. We need to go secondary early. There are some very interesting prosects that will be there at #13.

Day two of the draft is most likely the day the depth and talent of a loaded RB class will be in high demand. Same for TE and CB, as well as OG, which I mentioned in a prior post.

Hopefully we have a new g.m in place.
trade back to aquire a 1st next year to be able to get a new qb high in the 1st.
Build our trenches.

Malachai Starks is a steady, reliable player but doesn't make enough plays to be the 13th overall pick. I'd much rather have a guy like Andew Makuba later in the draft.

Well, obviously so much depends on free agency. Ideally, Miami would land an upgrade at guard during the free agent period. To me that would really open up the draft to concentrate mostly on defense. That's the strength of the draft.

That said, my biggest draft crush is probably Warren (yes a tight end) because I can visualize what he'd mean to the Dolphins offense. But, I'd be happy with any of the following that are also high on my list.

Graham DT - just a monster. I think he'll be gone.
Nolen DT - I think he may end up being the best pass rusher inside.
Pearce DE -- I think he may end up being the best outside pass rusher.
Starks S -- from a positional value concept, no. But he's so versatile that maybe??
Walker LB -- Talk about versatility.
Ersery OT/OG --- He's often mocked to SF as a scheme fit there. Which means he likely fits with Miami. Can play tackle or guard.

Any of the three larger DE's -- Landon Jackson (love him, though he has had injuries), Nic Scourton, Shemar Stewart)
